Held at the Montrose Pavilion, the 2026 Health Fair features convenient on-site blood draws. Doors open to welcome attendees, and blood draw services are available during the event.

Begin the day with a relaxed fun run that sets out from Toasty, then stick around to enjoy bRUNch. Runners can choose a 5K or a 1 mile course that follows the river trail. Finishers receive one beverage as part of the experience. Check in takes place before the group heads out on the route.

Teams of four can enjoy a day on the greens at Black Canyon Golf Course with friendly competition, a welcoming community, and a focus on supporting Christian education. Golfers of every experience level are encouraged to take part, whether aiming for birdies or simply trying to avoid the bunkers. The team entry is $500 and includes golf, a cart, and lunch. Space is limited.

Join Colorado West Christian School for its annual golf tournament at Black Canyon Golf Course. The day includes 18 holes, check-in, a shotgun start, lunch, and on-course contests and prizes such as closest to the pin, longest drive, and a hole-in-one challenge. Teams are $500 and consist of 4 players.

The annual Fun on the Uncompahgre, also known as FUNC Fest, brings two days of activity on and off the water to celebrate the river and the community around it. The City of Montrose partners with the Montrose Summer Music Series to present a free concert on Friday at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater. The festivities continue Saturday at Riverbottom Park, starting early with water sports, vendors, kids activities, food trucks, live music, and more. Guided by the theme United Uncompahgre and the slogan Community in the Name FUNC, the event highlights the Uncompahgre River and the Montrose Water Sports Park, using recreation as a way to build connections and share in outdoor fun. As a signature annual gathering, it offers inclusive experiences for athletes, families, and visitors while showcasing the natural beauty and community spirit of Montrose. BMW Riders of Western Colorado pairs its chapter meeting with a scenic group ride and lunch. The plan is to gather at the Orchard Mesa City Market gas station, then head over Grand Mesa to the Delta County Fairgrounds in Hotchkiss for the meeting and a midday meal. Club leadership for 2026 includes President Randy Schwartz, Vice President Bill Maurer, Secretary Brad Hoy, Treasurer Rich Bradfield, and Newsletter Editor Patti Maurer.

Now in its second year, Exceed Auto Show brings standout builds and refined fitment together inside Friendship Hall for a lively celebration of car culture. The program features more than 15 trophy categories, a live DJ with music, food trucks alongside vendor booths, a car limbo competition, and a raffle. General admission is $5, and vehicle registration is $35. Space for roll in and vendor booths is limited, and the showcase welcomes everything from fully built projects to daily drivers as well as groups of friends.

Celebrate the new school year at the Back to School Bash at The Grace Center. School-aged children from kindergarten through 12th grade can select a backpack filled with school supplies. Advance registration is required, and each child must be present with an adult.

The 4th Annual Adult Prom Fundraiser Benefiting Mrs. Claus for a Cause transforms The Temple Events into an 80s celebration that supports holiday giving. Dance to live music from The Dirt, a tribute to the era’s hair metal hits, and enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne, a dessert and charcuterie bar, a photo booth, a slideshow, and a silent auction. General admission is $50 per person or $80 for two. Sponsor tables seat six for $600 and include social media recognition, signage, and event swag. Donations of silent auction items are welcome. Black Canyon Guild is launching a new Dungeons and Dragons campaign at Silver Basin Brewing. Participants can arrive prepared with character sheets plus potions and equipment for the adventure.

This tour offers a look at agricultural operations north of Montrose that apply soil health practices while staying profitable. Organized in collaboration with the Western Colorado Soil Health Committee, Shavano Conservation District, and Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, the group meets at the R10 Incubator in Olathe before visiting several farms and ranches. Participants explore how soil management choices can influence crop performance and profits. Admission is free, and advance registration is requested to help plan for food and goodies. Join this 3-day photography workshop at Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, focused on capturing the sunrise, sunset, and night sky. You’ll start with an online lecture to help you prepare, then spend full days shooting and learning hands-on techniques for landscape photography and editing. Sessions include guidance on controlling focus and exposure during dawn and dusk, plus how to capture the Milky Way and star trails. During the evenings, you’ll head to different viewpoints for sunset and night sky photo sessions, with additional editing and review time built into the schedule. Bring a camera, tripod, and recommended accessories like an intervalometer or remote release, along with warm layers for cooler nighttime conditions.

Each week a different local business is showcased, community relationships are strengthened, and high quality, dependable referrals are emphasized. Beyond the weekly rhythm, monthly workshops offer added opportunities to learn and connect.

A morning session at Fellin Park in Ouray focuses on developing mountain bike skills, covering balance, confident riding techniques, and basic bike maintenance. Participants should bring a bike, helmet, gloves, and any other protective gear they need. If necessary, bikes can be shared. It links galleries, shops, businesses, and public spaces, encouraging a stroll to discover local and regional artists and to enjoy extended business hours that showcase the area’s creative energy. A guided public art tour provides a curated walk and talk with stories behind notable installations and local landmarks. Participating venues include City Hall, Montrose Center for Arts, Curiouser Books, SheShe Boutique, Mosaic, Heirlooms for Hospice, Cimarron Song Gallery, and Meditation Spaces. The event is currently seeking artists and volunteers to help run the event.
