Afterward the room opens to the open mic and a late night comedy hang. Many Denver comedians swing by after other mics and shows around the city, so the lineup often changes on the fly and the vibe stays lively. Parking is free in the lot, drinks are affordable, and admission is free. Comedian signups are available. The Lab is a bachata social that treats the dance floor like a creative studio, encouraging experimentation, focused practice, and confidence building. Dancers of every experience level are welcome to bring their moves, questions, friends, and passion for bachata. It is intentionally more hands-on than a typical social, offering space to drill, explore ideas, collaborate, and dance. The atmosphere centers on connection with fellow enthusiasts, growth in social dancing, and a supportive community that embraces all levels and all schools.
