Hot Night Fusion Weekend 2026 turns The Curtis Hotel in downtown Denver into a hub for fusion partner dance. Hear Mozart in a new light with a program that spans centuries of musical inspiration. Stratus Chamber Orchestra and St. Martin's Chamber Choir unite for an evening that pairs enduring classical roots with striking contemporary voices. The concert opens with Reynaldo Hahn’s Overture to Mozart, moves into Arvo Pärt’s Cecilia, vergine romana, and culminates in Mozart’s rarely heard Davidde Penitente for choir, soloists, and orchestra, a work that reuses music from his Mass in C Minor. It is believed that this presentation of Davidde Penitente marks its Colorado premiere. Approximate durations are five minutes for the Hahn, about sixteen minutes for the Pärt, and roughly forty five minutes for the Mozart centerpiece.

Deer Creek Sharpshooters (DCSS) began in 2012 in Harford County, Maryland and later put down roots in Steamboat Springs and Denver, Colorado. The six-piece blends classic bluegrass foundations with adventurous acoustic ideas, delivering lively shows built on tight musicianship and an easygoing rapport. Their repertoire moves from rapid-fire picking to playful crowd favorites, including songs about cats. The group was named Best New Bluegrass Band by Denver Westword in 2022, has appeared at WinterWonderGrass Steamboat, Palisade Bluegrass and Roots, The Ramble Festival, and Tico Time Bluegrass Festival, and released a debut album of originals, Crik, in 2023. Seeing Double grew out of Colorado’s vibrant bluegrass community and the spirit of late night festival jams. The band mixes traditional bluegrass with modern jamgrass, blues, and classic country to put a fresh spin on standards, newer material, and originals. Based in Golden, Colorado, the lineup features Chad Culler on mandolin and vocals, James Messer on guitar and vocals, Peter Leigh on fiddle, and Daniel Putrino on bass.
