Summer Craft Camp opens the studio to colorful, hands-on creativity where kids can explore, experiment, and happily get a little messy. Designed for ages 5 and up, each project is adjusted to fit every participant’s age and skill level. One session spotlights 3D pet sculptures, and other creations on the schedule range from 3D tower sculptures made with forms, paint, and gems to Under the Sea themed 3D sea creature art with glow-in-the-dark paintings, along with clay figures, sculptures, wind chimes, mosaics, sand art, and more. Every session includes one main DIY project and a smaller bonus craft, with plenty of time to create and feel proud of the results. Participants can register for a single day or multiple sessions, and the cost is $38 per person. Advance reservation and pre-purchase are required because space is limited. Drop-off is optional, and parents may stay or take a short break. Please pack a peanut-free snack and drink for the crafter, and look forward to karaoke during snack time. Full refunds are available with 72 hours notice before the start time.

A free community celebration at Zion Lutheran Church Grounds brings Wallingford families together for a day filled with animal encounters from Curious Creatures, bouncy houses, face painting, and an array of complimentary treats. Hamburgers and hot dogs, cupcakes, cookies, popcorn, ice cream, and watermelon are included. Live music, entertainment, and special performances keep the energy high, and giveaways with many prizes add extra excitement. Local resources tailored for Wallingford families will also be on site, offering easy ways to meet neighbors and learn about community support.

Celebrating 32 years in business, this festival offers a casual lunch with hot dogs, hamburgers, and picnic salads, plus littleneck clams available while supplies last with do-it-yourself shucking. Dinner features a single-choice entrée of lobster, steak, or prime rib, served with baked potato, native corn on the cob, dessert treats, and an anniversary cake. Tickets and prices are not yet available. An advance purchase option includes lunch, dinner, and dessert, with opportunities to add an extra lobster or an extra steak or prime rib for an additional cost. A door purchase option is available, with lunch provided only to those present during the lunch period. Dinner to go will be offered while it lasts for the dinner portion only. Happy hour drink prices will be available, and the festivities include two 10 lb lobster raffles.

Catch Bluey’s Big Play for a family-friendly show at Toyota Oakdale Theatre. The performance runs from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, making it a great midday outing for kids and parents alike.

Open to all ages, this Pokémon league features play and trading with three formats available: Standard, Gym Leader, and Ditto. Trading is welcome throughout. Entry fees start at $5 and vary by event.
