M60 brings fans together to celebrate six decades of The Monkees and the debut of their very first episode. The gathering takes place at the Clarion Inn North Haven Hotel, the same hotel that hosted the 2020 Peter Tork Memorial Monkees Convention. Spanning three days, it begins with a VIP party, continues with a full convention day plus evening concerts, and concludes with a gala finale at The Underground Frodis Adventure, CT’s Monkees Museum. Bobby Frank hails from East Haven, CT, and started out in a church choir after being introduced to 60s and 70s rock by their dad. Those classic sounds inform a style that mixes rock and pop with a touch of folk. After learning guitar in high school in the late 90s, Bobby formed a first band that played Saturday night shoreline gigs and soon moved into writing and recording. Recent performances feature a solo setup with acoustic guitar and harmonica, covering artists such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Tom Petty, and 90s favorites like Counting Crows and Gin Blossoms.

Nrityagram Dance Ensemble, led by Artistic Director Surupa Sen, presents a program devoted to Odissi, a classical dance tradition with roots as early as 200 BCE. Revered internationally, the company is known for bringing this ancient form to audiences around the world. The program, KHAṄKHAṆĀ, the sound of dancing feet, gathers acclaimed works choreographed by Surupa Sen over the past three decades. Grammy-winning Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela bring the OurHome Tour to College Street Music Hall, presented by Premier Concerts and Manic Presents. The new self-produced album was created in Tokyo and serves as both a salute to Japan and a reflection on finding home within yourself. Its music opens a dreamlike world of surreal creatures, celestial imagery, rugged landscapes, and a search for inner calm, conveyed through their expressive acoustic guitars. For more than two decades, the duo has pushed acoustic guitar into new ground, blending classical, rock, metal, cinematic textures, and spiritual themes into a singular sound. Their journey stretches from busking on Dublin’s Grafton Street to a GRAMMY win for Mettavolution and landmark appearances at Glastonbury, the Hollywood Bowl, Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. On stage, Rodrigo’s quicksilver melodies and Gabriela’s driving, percussive rhythms power a set that moves between hushed focus and surging intensity. Expect soulful guitar, expressive slide work, and storytelling through music, with boutique wines and refreshing hard ciders from Apple Theory Cidery available in the tasting room. Rocky Lawrence’s journey began on trumpet at the age of nine in Connecticut, in a home filled with the music of Louis Armstrong and Mahalia Jackson. At eleven he picked up the guitar under the spell of Jimi Hendrix, tracing the music back through Muddy Waters to Robert Johnson and Son House. On stage he is known for a matching suit, a Dobbs hat, and two toned shoes, playing a Gibson “Robert Johnson” guitar worn at the fingerboard. He performs with conviction, and whether appearing solo or alongside masters, listeners experience a seasoned bluesman. As he likes to say, “Robert was a good thief,” acknowledging how Johnson drew from influences like Son House and Lonnie Johnson.
