A weekly drum circle at The Rock Lot offers a welcoming, all-ages experience with guidance from a local instructor. Admission is free, and a selection of drums in different sizes is available. Participants may bring their own instrument or borrow one on site. Support is provided in part by a grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts, a state agency working in partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts.

At Cool Spring Park, the West Side Farmers Market brings together fresh, locally grown produce, small business vendors, community programming, and friendly neighbors. Established in 2011 with a simple promise that everyone deserves access to healthy food, the market still lives by that mission fifteen years later. Shoppers can pay with cash, credit, SNAP/EBT, WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits, as well as West Side Farmers Market wooden tokens. Seniors 60 and over receive a $5 credit, and SNAP/EBT purchases are matched up to $20 in tokens for fruits and vegetables. J.K. Percussion & Arts hosts a welcoming drum circle that helps participants unwind and reconnect with their own rhythm. Group drumming builds community connections, sparks creativity, lifts spirits, and encourages relaxation. The gathering is free and open to everyone. Participants are encouraged to bring their own drum, and a small number of drums can be rented at the venue for a $5 fee per session. An RSVP is requested on the organizer’s website.
