Disconnect to Reconnect: A Restorative Workshop

Naples · Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, 206 Ridge Dr

If stress or burnout has you feeling disconnected, this restorative equine-assisted workshop offers a chance to slow down, step away from daily demands, and reset. In a calm setting at Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, guided time with horses blends with mindfulness, grounding practices, and expressive art to encourage reflection, build self-awareness, support emotional regulation, and create meaningful connection. Spend intentional time alongside an equine partner through gentle, on-the-ground activities that cultivate presence and help you notice your own responses. Horses provide clear, nonjudgmental feedback, opening space to explore stress patterns, boundaries, communication, and connection in a new way. Expressive art adds another path for insight and self-expression, and no artistic experience is needed. The session is facilitated by Anne Ateeka Contee, LCPC, a licensed mental health therapist trained extensively in trauma-informed, somatic, nature-based, and equine-assisted work. There is no expectation to share, perform, or fix anything, and participants are invited to engage at a comfortable pace. No prior horse experience is needed, and all activities are unmounted. Past workshops received perfect scores on post-event surveys, and one participant described the experience as life changing, recommending it for veterans coping with PTSD and post-deployment readjustment. Hosted at Naples Therapeutic Riding Center, a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, the environment emphasizes participant safety, equine welfare, and thoughtful facilitation. This experience welcomes those navigating stress, burnout, life transitions, or relationship challenges, as well as anyone simply seeking time to reconnect with themselves. Set aside a few hours with horses and leave with practical tools to bring into everyday life. Registration is $250 per workshop and includes the session, take-home materials, and refreshments. Participants may register for more than one date, and enrollment is capped at 10 participants per date.

    Comedian Martin Moreno

Naples · Off The Hook Comedy Club, 2500 Vanderbilt Beach Rd Ext

Comedian Martin Moreno brings his unapologetic, high-energy stand-up to Naples, Florida, delivering an adult-oriented set packed with candid stories and sharp observations. He began his comedy career in his 30s, and his perspective is shaped by two marriages, a cheeky turn as an ordained minister and self-styled guru, and the insecurities and influences of growing up in the 80s. The result is bold humor with an intelligent, analytical edge and a relaxed, laid-back vibe. Audiences may recognize him as the co-host across all three seasons of Comedy Central’s Gabriel Iglesias Presents: Stand Up Revolution and as a voice on the animated Comedy Central series Hey, It’s Fluffy! He has toured with Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias across the United States and abroad, building a devoted fan base known to cheer with a drawn-out “Marteeeen!” He also appeared on all three seasons of the FUSE series Fluffy Breaks Even, which follows the crew as they tackle hefty meals, then work to burn off the calories for laughs and consequences. Beyond the stage, he performs nationwide and hosts the weekly The House of Monkey’s Presents - Yo Yo Yo Podcast with co-host Hooter Moreno, welcoming guests such as Gina Brillon, Gabriel Iglesias, Willie Barcena, and Felipe Esparza.
