Select from over 30 tile colors, use a wheeled tile nipper to shape your pieces, and get guidance to bring your idea to life. Expect a wide mix from vintage to modern, including Star Wars, Hot Toys, G.I. Week II of SBDAC’s Culinary Arts Camp invites aspiring chefs ages 13–17 to step into the culinary world through a special partnership with Luminary Hotel Co. Under the guidance of Chef Nathalia Small, participants develop kitchen fundamentals, refine plating and presentation, explore food science, and experiment with creative design while working inside Luminary’s immersive Culinary Theater and commercial kitchen. Campers also get a look behind the scenes at culinary service, practice scratch preparation, sharpen plating techniques, and experience the fast pace of a professional hospitality setting. Art and food come together as students weave creative mediums into their planning and photograph their dishes to build a portfolio of finished work. Activities take place at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center and Luminary Hotel Co. Before and after care is available for an additional charge. Settle in for a 30-minute cuddle session with baby goats, then spend a little time with Marsala, the Highland calf.
