Young makers explore the art of jewelry design at Ormond Memorial Art Museum & Gardens in a summer camp created for ages 6 to 11. Participants craft wearable art, including bold pendant necklaces, bendable bracelets, and shimmering earrings to keep or give as gifts. They select metals and other materials, learn to form their own beads from unexpected sources, and work with supplies like polymer clay, beads, and charms to create colorful pieces that express their style. Everyone finishes with a collection of handcrafted jewelry and a small dish for trinkets. Campers must be at least 6 years old at the start or have completed Kindergarten to enroll, and should bring a snack and a drink for the daily break. Tuition is $150 for museum members and $165 for those who are not yet members. Spaces are filled in the order they are received, and families receiving SNAP food assistance may apply for scholarship support.

Unlimited Devotion brings its high-energy tribute to the Grateful Dead to Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach, channeling the band’s songbook through a blend of jazz and funk influences. Conceived in Miami in 2012, the group quickly built a devoted following and now operates out of both Tampa/St. Petersburg and Miami. The quintet is known for adventurous performances and is regarded as one of Florida’s top drawing acts, with national recognition that includes producing and performing Dead & Co.’s pre-concert and after party on Orlando’s Church Street in 2018, an occasion that drew thousands and was billed as the largest block party in the city’s history. That same year, Miami New Times Magazine named the band among the top four most influential jam bands in Florida alongside Roosevelt Collier, The Heavy Pets and Snarky Puppy. This oceanfront concert takes place outdoors on the third-floor Wave Terrace, and it features two nights of Grateful Dead tributes with completely different shows, presented in celebration of Jerry Garcia’s birthday. General admission is $15 per person plus tax and fees for standing room access without reserved seating. VIP seating is $40 per seat plus tax and fees and includes a VIP lanyard, access to a front-of-stage standing area, a reserved table at the side of the stage, and a choice of a bucket of beer, a bottle of house wine, or a 375 split of TITO’S VODKA with mixers, along with free valet parking. All seats at a VIP table must be purchased together. VIP table packages are available for two people at $80 with beverages and valet for one car, for four people at $160 as either high top or low top tables with beverages and valet for two cars, and for six people at $240 with beverages and valet for three cars. Tables can be selected on a seating map during purchase, otherwise the first available table will be assigned. Refunds are permitted up to seven days in advance, with ticketing fees non-refundable unless the event is cancelled. If a cancellation occurs, full refunds will be issued. If postponed, existing tickets can be used on the new date or refunded. As an outdoor event, weather conditions are monitored and a decision will be made as early as possible, with rescheduling in most cases and full refunds if the show is cancelled. All ages are welcome in a concert environment and shows are rated PG-13. Guests must be 21 and over with valid ID to drink. No outside food or beverages are allowed. A full bar and a limited food menu will be available, and reservations at Sessions, the hotel’s full-service restaurant, are suggested for a sit-down dinner before the music begins. No personal chairs are permitted. No weapons or illegal substances are allowed, all attendees are subject to search with required bag checks, and there is no re entry. Parking options include day-of-event valet included with VIP tables, which does not cover overnight parking. Valet service is available for a fee per car, and self parking is offered across the street on a first-come, first-serve basis with a per-car fee. Bike parking is available for a fee. The public beach parking lot is not affiliated with the hotel, requires a valid Volusia County parking permit, and parking there is at your own risk.

This nine unit program is designed to deepen understanding of flower arranging for the home and for flower shows. The first six units focus on foundational techniques, followed by three advanced sessions that emphasize creative design. Each class features a morning lecture with live demonstrations as the instructor builds arrangements and explains materials and methods. After a lunch break, participants create their own designs and take part in a group discussion. Most units are led by Penny Decker, NGC Master Judge and Instructor, who teaches nationwide, has represented the United States in international competition, and has been featured in Design Dimensions and Concepts magazines as well as FFGC and NGC calendars. Line materials, foliage, and flowers are provided for the first three classes. Advance registration is required, class size is limited to 20 students, and the series is open to everyone regardless of Garden Club membership. Students are welcome to repeat the series, and those who complete all nine lectures and workshops receive a Certificate of Achievement. The 1st Annual Woof-O-Ween Daytona & Ormond Beach brings a dog friendly Halloween celebration to Ormond Brewing Company. Activities include a Trick-or-Treat Trail, a costume contest, local vendors and treat stops, raffles and giveaways, and photo opportunities. The event supports Halifax Humane Society and Daytona Dog Beach Inc., and is presented by Cutie Pawz Pet Sitting and Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming Daytona & Ormond Beach. Confirmed treat stops include Parrotfish Coffee Co., Pawsitively Beachy, Bay Horse Creations, Salty Paws Palm Coast FL, and Obedience Club of Daytona, with more to be announced. Each participating dog requires its own ticket for access to the Trick-or-Treat Trail and event activities throughout the day. Humans attend free with participating dogs. Vendor and sponsor opportunities are available, and a Yappy Hour is also planned.
