Halifax Repertory Theatre Presents Hadestown: Teen Edition (Image) Halifax Repertory Theatre Present

Halifax Repertory Theatre presents Hadestown: Teen Edition, a musical that reimagines the Greek legends of Orpheus and Eurydice alongside the tale of Hades and Persephone. Set in a mechanized, factory-like underworld, it follows Orpheus, a hopeful musician, as he descends to Hadestown to bring Eurydice back after Hades entices her with promises of security that come at the cost of her freedom. With Hermes as narrator, the story reflects on love, trust, sacrifice, and the pull between hope and fear, carried by a score that weaves folk, jazz, and blues. Tickets for rows AA through QQ are $35.00.

W.A.S.P. - 1984 TO HEADLESS

ELKO Concerts presents a heavy metal bill featuring W.A.S.P., billed as 1984 to Headless, together with KK’s Priest. W.A.S.P., led since the start by founder Blackie Lawless as lead vocalist and principal songwriter, grew from Los Angeles clubs to international stages with a provocative approach that stirred intense reactions, drew attention from civic and governmental bodies, and even led to bans in multiple countries, all while selling millions of records and building a four-decade run of sold out shows worldwide. KK’s Priest centers on guitarist and songwriter K.K. Downing, co-founder of Judas Priest and a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, carrying forward the twin-guitar tradition and songwriting that helped shape heavy metal, reflected in his autobiography and in the album The Sinner Rides Again, as he continues his story alongside W.A.S.P.
