Air Retrieve takes place on select days, with a limited early block of 10 slots and the remainder later in the day. Hydro Dash is scheduled on multiple days, with morning-only runs on the final day. Try-its cost $15 and are available throughout the day as space allows, with competition jumps taking priority. Preregistration closes in advance, and there is a separate window to edit or withdraw registrations.

    Learn about the effort to connect and conserve Florida’s natural habitats at a Science Cafe centered on the Florida Wildlife Corridor. Land steward Brandon Evans will share how Conservation Florida works to protect this statewide network that supports endangered species and sustains historic agricultural lands. The program includes light snacks and conversation at the museum, followed by a presentation at the RELC. Registration is requested but not required. Cultural credit is available for Stetson students. Brandon manages Conservation Florida’s 456-acre D-Ranch Preserve in Osteen. He is a former Gillespie Museum staff member and a Stetson graduate with a Biology major and minors in Environmental Science, Sustainable Food Systems, and Community Engagement. His academic and professional experience spans ecology, habitat restoration, recreation area management, and community partnerships that address economic disparities while preserving urban green spaces. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time in nature through hiking, trail biking, camping, and gardening. For these Science Cafes, the Gillespie Museum remains open later than usual.

He has one holiday wish, the official Red Ryder Carbine-Action 200-Shot Range Model Air Rifle, and he sets out to persuade the grown-ups it belongs under the tree. His quest is packed with comic detours, a leg lamp that glows in the window, a pair of mortifying pink bunny pajamas, a blustery department-store Santa, and that schoolyard challenge no kid can ignore. Featuring a book by Joseph Robinette with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, this stage adaptation draws from the Warner Bros. film by Jean Shepherd, Leigh Brown, and Bob Clark, as well as Shepherd’s stories in In God We Trust: All Others Pay Cash. The production is presented by arrangement with Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures and Dalfie Entertainment, and by special arrangement with The Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois. Nominated for three Tony Awards in 2013, the show blends warmth, quick wit, and catchy songs into a festive experience for all ages. Rated G.
