Free weekly adaptive pickleball sessions are designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson’s. Space is also available to watch. Registration is required for each session, and participants should bring something to drink. The sessions are hosted in partnership with Halifax Health | Brooks Adaptive Sports and Recreation. If a session is full, interested participants can join the wait list. Those who register are asked to attend or cancel in advance so another participant may take their place.

A free monthly grief share group offers a gentle space for anyone mourning a loved one, whether family or friend. Hosted at Lotus Funeral Service, the setting is intended to feel more like a coastal retreat than a traditional funeral home. Created with families in mind, the interior is open and bright to encourage a calm, relaxed state from the moment you arrive. Light refreshments help set a casual tone for introductions and conversation. Guided by a professional with many years in the death care field, the group shares practical insights, suggestions, and ideas to navigate the early milestones and the time beyond. Attendees also hear about upcoming offerings such as Coping with Colors, with an option to attend as a guest. For questions or to share attendance plans, contact Nina at (845) 531-1673 or nina@lotusfuneral.com.
