Dead Set

An evening of tributes takes the stage at The Twisted Fork as Dead Set Florida honors the music of the Grateful Dead alongside guitarist Alex Ivanov with a salute to Jeff Beck. Formed in 2017 after Christian Walker moved from Upstate New York, where he played with Syracuse favorite Dark Hollow, Dead Set Florida channels the improvisational spirit and high-energy feel of a classic Dead show and has grown into one of Florida’s standout tribute acts. The set may roam through favorites such as Truckin', Friend of the Devil, Touch of Grey, Casey Jones, Sugar Magnolia, Ripple, Scarlet Begonias, Fire on the Mountain, Bertha, Uncle John’s Band, Franklin’s Tower, and Alabama Getaway. Alex Ivanov traces Jeff Beck’s range from soulful blues to fiery rock fusion, capturing the precision, passion, and distinctive touch associated with this guitar legend. Listeners may hear selections like Cause We’ve Ended As Lovers, Freeway Jam, Blue Wind, Beck’s Bolero, Led Boots, People Get Ready, Scatterbrain, Big Block, Goodbye Pork Pie Hat, Hammerhead, Brush With The Blues, and A Day In The Life. Every ticket includes access to a dinner buffet. Seating can be selected at tables for up to eight guests, and buffet offerings are planned so they are easy to enjoy in folding chair sections.
