On First Fridays, the experience expands with the Downtown Daytona Nights Food Truck Rally on Magnolia and the First Friday Art Walk, creating a lively evening of local art, dining, shopping, and exploring throughout the area.

At the NSB Market on Canal Street, one vendor is focusing on sweets rather than sourdough bread, since other bakers already offer loaves. Offerings include gourmet deep dish cookies, gluten free cookies, sourdough cookies, candied apples, caramel apples, gourmet caramel or chocolate apples, fudge, toffee, cake pops, brownies, sourdough crackers, and apple cider doughnuts.

Tanoshii Con returns for its third year at Ocean Center Convention Daytona Beach with an even larger celebration of every fandom. Explore anime, sci-fi, fantasy, steampunk, oddities, and cosplay, plus celebrity guests connected to Stranger Things, Halloween, Mandalorian, Xmen and more. Kick off the series at Sandspur Riding Club with a full slate of classes highlighted by a men’s 2D race. The show starts with the PeeWee division. To qualify for series awards, riders must compete in at least three of the four shows and hold a current membership. This event is NIH/OHI approved and pays out on a 70 to 30 split. If entries surpass 50 riders, Sandspur Riding Club adds $250 to the pot. Entry details: Open 4D is $30. The men’s race 2D is $25. Youth 2D is $20. Adult 2D is $20 with carryover only. The T-shirt sidepot 2D is $20 with carryover only. Poles 2D is $20. PeeWee is $10 for ages 8 and under. PeeWee Poles is $10 for ages 8 and under. A $5 non-member fee applies to each rider. Saturday nights bring the Star Spangled Summer Concert Series to the Daytona Beach Oceanfront Bandshell, filling the shore with live music. When the music wraps, Lights Up Daytona sends fireworks glimmering over the ocean for a sparkling finish. Look forward to weekly seaside performances with a festive atmosphere and a memorable fireworks finale.

Presented by Friends of the Bandshell, this Star Spangled Summer concert at Daytona Beach Bandshell features Maximum Queen, a tribute to the music of Queen. The event is open to all ages.

Build everyday manners and confidence with an all-levels group dog training session at Port Orange City Center, meeting near the Rec Center and soccer fields. Dogs of any age, breed, or experience level are welcome, whether just getting started or working to advance existing skills. The fee is $30 per dog, and preregistration is required. Bring water, favorite high-value treats, and the training tools you use. The class emphasizes practical, real-world behavior in a structured and encouraging setting, and space is limited, so participants should be prepared to train.

A summer jazz dance class for pre-teens and teens, built around having fun and spending lots of time dancing. This session highlights an energetic, enjoyable approach to jazz that keeps everyone moving.

A beginner jazz dance class for children ages 5 to 10 meets each Monday. Designed for elementary school students at the start of their dance journey, it offers a friendly way to stay active all summer.

LEVEL UP presents a Summer Pre-K Ballet program for children ages 2 to 4. Skilled instructors lead engaging, age-appropriate lessons that encourage creativity and coordination. Young dancers can explore movement, gain confidence, and begin building a foundation in ballet.

Enjoy a live star show presented by the Lohman Planetarium team, followed by safe solar viewing through specialized telescopes, weather permitting. This program welcomes curious minds of all ages. Seating is limited, and advance registration is recommended. Free for Museum members with registration, and $10 per show for non-members.
