Self Havening Biological Alchemy

Modern life can keep the body on high alert, and when the nervous system is locked in survival mode, thinking alone often falls short. This workshop centers on Self-Havening, a biology based approach that uses gentle touch to soothe the system and help the brain loosen outdated emotional wiring. Participants begin with an accessible look at how stress affects the body and the science behind Havening touch, with a focus on how simple safety cues restore ease. This program suits anyone feeling stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed who seeks a dependable way to return to center, strengthen resilience without force, and shift beyond limiting beliefs into calm, clarity, and confidence. Bonnie Snyder, Ed.S., CPC, DCEP, brings three decades in psychology, counseling, and energy modalities as an intuitive life balance coach and energy psychology diplomate. Roots & Ritual: Summer Sizzle Tallow Sun Cream

Learn to craft a nourishing tallow-based sun cream in a hands-on herbal workshop that blends traditional plant wisdom with safe, modern formulation. The class explores the long history of using animal fats and herbs for skin care, then guides you through making a rich, water resistant balm designed to support skin in sun, wind, and heat. Participants finish with a handmade jar and the skills to recreate it at home. Instruction covers why tallow’s fatty acids and naturally occurring vitamins can support the skin barrier, how grass-fed and conventional sources differ, and the basics of rendering and purification. You will also compare mineral and chemical sun products, work with zinc oxide and proper dispersion techniques, and review the limitations of homemade SPF along with the importance of reapplication, clothing, and shade. Herbal allies such as calendula, lavender, plantain, chamomile, green tea, sea buckthorn, and aloe are introduced, with step-by-step guidance on infusing oils, choosing botanicals that comfort sun-exposed skin, and building a customizable recipe. Expect clear explanations of UV-A and UV-B light, signs of overexposure, and the roles of antioxidants and emollients in skin support. During the make-and-take session, you will prepare your own batch while learning about patch testing, realistic expectations for herbal products, and safe essential oil dilution. Ideas for variations include adjusting texture with cocoa or mango butter, adding carrot root or vanilla infusions, or incorporating a light shimmer for a cosmetic glow. Everyone leaves with a finished jar, a printed recipe booklet, an infusion guide, storage and shelf life notes, and a resource list for quality ingredients. The class concludes with a focus on simple, nourishing care that respects traditional practices alongside modern safety and informed sun habits.

Sister Sunset Soul Circle

Sister Sunset Soul Circle gathers at Dunedin Causeway for a warm, women-centered evening guided by Sherri Keenan. As the sun lowers, the group connects through shared stories, dancing, drumming, card and crystal exploration, and soulful conversation. There may be moments for affirmations, hooping, prayer, or meditation. Participants can bring a drum or flow toys, wear something that lifts the spirit, and, if they wish, bring a snack to share. The space invites authenticity, connection with nature, and supportive energy for anyone who may be struggling. This is a free gathering with optional donations. Items such as food, clothing, and toiletries are also welcomed for Messengers Of Hope so care can extend beyond the circle. Look for the group on the beach near the kayaks and the High and Dry Grill. If weather does not cooperate, the backup location is Wendy Fit Yoga and Pilates.
