Camp registration is open for the Tallahassee Museum Summer Camp, and spaces are limited. Led by museum educators, each day blends creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and communication. Campers engage with wildlife, dive into cultural heritage, and take on Tree to Tree Adventure Camps as part of the curriculum across age groups. Preschool camp welcomes fully potty trained children ages 3 to 5, including those entering VPK and kindergarten. Families should register by the grade their child will enter for the coming school year, and children headed into kindergarten should enroll in the preschool program. Member and nonmember rates vary by grade level. Rising 1st and 2nd graders are $240 for members and $250 for nonmembers. Rising 3rd graders are $290 for members and $300 for nonmembers, and this group includes field trips. Rising 4th and 5th graders are $290 for members and $300 for nonmembers, and this group also includes field trips. The Junior Counselor in Training program for rising 6th through 8th graders is $90 for members and $100 for nonmembers, with participants assisting teachers while remaining campers under staff supervision. A Counselor in Training option is available for rising 9th through 12th graders. Some weeks may include an additional charge. Extended hours are available for an additional $10 per day or $50 per week. Registration is first come, first served, and early sign up is encouraged. Families receive an email before camp begins with a weekly overview and can refer to the Parent Handbook for answers to common questions. If a session is full, email registrations@tallahasseemuseum.org to be added to the waiting list and include your name, your camper’s name, grade, week, and a contact email. One schedule change is permitted. Additional changes incur a $25 administrative fee, and a $25 fee applies if a camper is registered in the wrong group.
