Thomas County native Eleanor Whitte shares her journey as an African American trailblazer in engineering, invention, and motivational speaking as part of the Bicentennial Lunch & Learn speaker series. During a 35-year career with Xerox Corporation, she became a Project Lead System Engineer and was the sole African American woman on her project team. She is listed as an inventor on a U.S. patent issued in 1990 for technology that boosted copier performance and image quality. The program highlights a legacy of perseverance, innovation, and leadership. Admission is free and open to all. Guests are encouraged to bring a lunch, and light refreshments will be available.
