Italian American Club of Venice2026 Spring Fling Skim Jam
Now in its sixth year, Spring Fling Skim Jam returns to Nokomis Beach, a leading skim spot on Florida’s Gulf Coast. It brings the skim community together for three days of beach time, friendly competition, and a welcoming, family focused atmosphere. Riders can showcase their best tricks alongside local talent, with prizes and raffles adding to the fun. Across three days, the lineup features a free skim clinic, a Skim USA sanctioned Pro/Am contest, a pro signing, and an awards ceremony. The clinic, hosted by Alley Oop Skim Camps in partnership with Zap Skimboards, welcomes all skill levels and includes guidance from Zap professional riders, with support available for first timers and those without a board. Rider check in is hosted by Island Fin Poke with an additional check in option at the beach, and competitors receive goodie bags. The first day covers check in, a mandatory riders meeting, and competition. The second day continues competition, includes vendor setup, and concludes with the awards presentation. Lunch is provided for competitors on both competition days. Registration details will be announced. A Skim USA membership is required to register, and beach entries are not allowed. Information about hotel discounts is forthcoming.
Nokomis BeachYouth Ministry Fundraiser: Trivia Night
Enjoy a friendly trivia fundraiser supporting the Youth Ministry in the Love and Light Center. The game features easy multiple choice questions and is played in teams. Admission is $10 per person at the door. Guests are encouraged to bring a shareable finger food and BYOB. Proceeds are split, with half awarded to the winning table and half benefiting the Teen Program. Attendees are invited to sit with new tablemates to meet others from the church community.
