The Altamonte Council offers small business networking on the first and third Friday of each month. This free Seminole County Chamber member benefit creates opportunities to connect with area businesses and showcase what each organization does. Attendees can build relationships, expand their professional network, and increase visibility within the local business community.

Enjoy a friendly pickleball gathering at the Gateway gym, open to all experience levels. New players can get guidance on the basics, and equipment such as balls and paddles is available. Two sessions are offered. The first visit is free, and each session after that is $5.

Browse the Winter Park Farmers’ Market in the Central Park West Meadow area, a popular Saturday morning stop for fresh, locally grown produce, artisan breads and pastries, gourmet foods and spices, plants and flowers, and unique handmade crafts and gifts. It’s a great outdoor outing for the whole family, with free admission and nearby parking options, and leashed dogs are welcome. Since it’s outdoors, it’s weather dependent.

This monthly Serve Saturday volunteer opportunity takes place on the second Saturday of each month at The Sharing Center.

Families can discover art together at Rollins Museum of Art through a Family Studio designed for children ages 5 to 10 with an accompanying adult. Inspired by the museum’s current exhibitions, the experience combines interactive time in the galleries with a hands-on art activity. Registration is required and free, and it opens one month before the program.

One in ten people in the United States lives with diabetes, and the number continues to rise each year. This free Magnolia Wellness Hour community talk explains what diabetes is, how it can affect every organ, and how it may influence mental health through anxiety and depression. It is intended for people living with diabetes, those who want to support someone with the condition, and anyone interested in prevention. Topics include what occurs in the body, the tests used to identify diabetes, making healthy choices with food and physical activity, and how medications work and when they may be needed. The session is led by Moira AL-Malt, RN and Certified Diabetes Educator, who brings more than 30 years of experience in pediatric endocrinology and high risk obstetrics, along with personal insight as the mother of an adult with Type 1 diabetes. She focuses on turning complex medical information into clear, practical strategies for individuals and families. Space is limited, and registration is required.

Simon Time leads a trivia night at Aloma Bowl. Admission is free.

Harvest of Hope, part of Sanlando United Methodist Church, provides shelf-stable groceries to anyone seeking assistance. The pantry is accessed through the church lobby, and a brief check-in is required before the earlier distribution period begins. To keep the process orderly, numbered entry is used and numbers are not issued before opening. When your number is called, come inside, take a seat, and wait until you are invited to the service window. If you need help or have questions, please speak only with Harvest of Hope volunteers. Restrooms are not available, and smoking is not permitted on the property. For the safety of families on site, please avoid arriving before opening time.

This is a no-cost, participant-run session for the Lorcana Weekly League. The experience is casual and community guided.
