Savannah · Nickel & Oak Lounge, 111 W Congress St

Roots, Americana, and traditional country come together when singer songwriter Candi Jenkins takes the stage. Her classic-meets-modern approach blends traditional country, Appalachian bluegrass, and Americana into songs shaped by the sound she set out to hear for herself. Though she calls Lexington, Kentucky home, her story reaches through Louisville, southern Indiana, Canada, and Southeastern Kentucky, and that lineage runs through her writing, including the reflective track God Don’t Care. Momentum has followed her time on the road, with support slots for Clay Street Unit and Andy Frasco, and shows with Benjamin Tod ahead. She appeared at South by Southwest in 2025 and at Luck Reunion in 2026. Jenkins is currently recording her debut album with Andrija Tokic at The Bomb Shelter, with new music planned for a summer release. With prolific songwriting, a growing social media following, and magnetic live performances, she is steadily earning a devoted audience as a fresh voice in modern roots music.

This is a family friendly show, and the house opens 30 minutes before curtain. Parking is free, with security on site to guide arrivals. Tickets are $45 for general admission, $42 for seniors and military, $20 for students and artists, and $10 for the community, and the first Thursday performance is $25. American Red Cross Blood Drive

Bloomingdale · Faulkville Baptist Church, 144 Zeigler Rd

    Free

An American Red Cross blood drive is hosted in the FBC Social Hall at Faulkville Baptist Church, which has supported community blood drives since 1995. Donations help meet vital needs across the country. Someone needs blood every two seconds, more than 38,000 donations are required each day, and about 16 million blood components are transfused in the U.S. annually. Hospitals most often request Type O blood. The average red blood cell transfusion uses approximately three pints, and blood needed for emergencies must already be on the shelves. People living with sickle cell disease, affecting 90,000 to 100,000 people in the U.S., the vast majority of whom are African American, may require frequent transfusions throughout their lives. Many individuals undergoing chemotherapy also rely on donated blood, sometimes daily, and a single car accident victim can need as many as 100 pints.
