A Halloween tradition returns with a fresh twist at the 1st Annual Eye Ball, filling a donated multi-level location with surprises and sweets for a night that aims to top past creations. The evening lifts up local causes, benefiting The Savannah Center for the Blind and Low Vision in memory of Katherine Chesanow, mother of local musician Marc Chesanow, Fuzzy Therapy Miniature Horses in honor of Peggi Noon, and LoopIt Up Savannah in support of those who serve children. Co-directors Jamie Failing of The Stardust Pixies and Shelley Smith reunite to lead the production and welcome back Miss Paradise, Maggie Hayes. Dame Darcy contributes readings, a VIP lounge, and a haunted lounge with an art installation, creating many ways to experience the celebration. Horne, a professional guitarist, producer and musical director who also performs online as Musicman1017 and founded The Musicman Movement, and by Stee's sister, Brooke Danielle Colvin Horne, an entertainer and singer songwriter whose harmonies and standout solo moments complete the trio. Together they deliver lively takes on pop, rock, R&B, Motown and reggae favorites with tight vocals and dynamic musicianship. This one hour workout blends strength, cardio, and core training for all fitness levels while children ride securely in their strollers. Held before Soccer Shots, it provides time for moms to focus on themselves before soccer begins. The setting emphasizes encouragement and connection, with mothers supporting one another and little ones along for the ride. Both first timers and returning members are welcome, and the first class is free.

A Halloween themed hunter pace from Salt Marsh Hounds unfolds at Coosaw Plantation, a distinctive waterfront setting in South Carolina’s Ace Basin. Riders follow a clearly marked route across a private estate that features open stretches, wooded lanes, marshland, and scenic water views, creating a memorable day in the saddle. Participants can select from two divisions. First Flight offers a faster pace with optional jumps and a go around for each obstacle. Hilltoppers provides a quieter, non-jumping experience for those who prefer to take in the landscape. Ribbons are awarded through sixth place in both divisions. All disciplines are welcome and any tack is permitted. Costumes and clever team names are encouraged and may be rewarded. Participants will gather at the fishing dock and kayak launch beside the Whitehall boat ramp for a route rated 2 out of 5 in difficulty. The paddle moves through Factory Creek, continues under the Swing Bridge, and concludes at Beaufort's Chambers Waterfront Park. Parking can fill early, so plan ahead, and use Whitehall Park as an alternative launch and overflow option if needed. After the finish, those who wish can head to the Fillin' Station for a casual drink or bite. Meet adoptable pets from One Love Animal Rescue at PetSmart in Pooler. Because the rescue operates through foster homes, not every animal will be present at each event. Savannah Rep brings the quirky town of Popcorn Falls to the stage at Vintage Special Event Center. Mark served four years in the Marine Corps and received a Purple Heart, then continued his service as a firefighter and paramedic with Southside Fire and EMS, Bryan County Emergency Services, Savannah Fire Rescue, and Parris Island Fire Rescue. He passed away on November 22, 2017 at the age of 33 and is remembered by his wife, Angie, and their children, Chase and Emerson.
