    Zhu – On the Move

The Eastern, 777 Memorial Drive SE, Atlanta
    See details

Zero Mile and DEF present an all ages show with ZHU, the electronic artist also known as Steven Zhu. Known for pushing the boundaries of dance music and building immersive concepts that live both onstage and beyond the club, he performs as a vocalist and instrumentalist as well as a producer and DJ, blending sleek synths, weighty bass and memorable hooks to create a moody, magnetic atmosphere. His new project BLACK MIDAS marks a return to his dancefloor roots. The songs took shape during a cross country van journey after the Southern California Palisades wildfire displaced him, inspiring a stripped down, on the road workflow and the launch of his nightlife warehouse concept BLACKLIZT. The productions span deep house to melodic techno and feature collaborations with underground and emerging artists. ZHU first broke through when the single Faded earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Dance Recording. He has continued to evolve through albums, tours and collaborations, including a behind the scenes film recorded at San Francisco’s Grace Cathedral that showcased his storytelling across mediums. His creative world often revolves around the color black, a theme that extends into his NightDay Collection and informs performances centered on movement, energy and a shared sense of release.
