Farm Fridays at Coastal Heritage Society's Savannah Children's Museum invites visitors into the Frogtown Garden to learn about the fruits, vegetables, and herbs growing on site. Guests can request a taste of the Farm to Table snack of the day. The program is included with regular museum admission and is free for Coastal Heritage Society members. Next door, the Georgia State Railroad Museum offers train rides on Wednesdays through Sundays, weather permitting, and these rides are also free for Coastal Heritage Society members.

This car show at Nine Line Apparel features a showcase of vehicles along with food trucks and a range of vendors. The inaugural 201 Car and Bike Show brings plenty of automotive excitement for all ages. Look for awards recognizing the top 30 entries along with additional specialty trophies. Music Bingo brings lively entertainment to Mexicali Fresh Savannah with several games and a prize for each one. Sing along to favorite songs as you work out the titles you do not recognize, and feel free to use your phone, your friends, or your server for help. The atmosphere is suitable for families, and there is no charge to participate.

Residents of Savannah and the surrounding counties of Chatham, Bryan, Effingham, Liberty, Beaufort, and Jasper receive free admission to the SCAD Museum of Art on the second Sunday of each month. Visitors can explore contemporary works by emerging and established artists across commissioned pieces and rotating exhibitions. College students also get in free every Saturday with a valid college ID shown at the front desk.

Savannah History Museum presents a new exhibition that brings Savannah’s Revolutionary War era to life through artifacts raised from the Savannah River near Old Fort Jackson in 2021 and 2022. After more than 200 years underwater, 17 restored cannons are on view alongside a wide range of recovered items. The display also includes two cannons shown just as they were found, three fragments of anchors, and additional pieces that help tell a fuller story of the past. Spanning about 3,000 square feet, the experience shares perspectives that recognize the diverse people involved in the Revolution, highlights Georgia’s role in the struggle, and adds depth to the region’s maritime history. Created to honor America’s 250th anniversary, the project reflects broad community support from businesses, heritage organizations, and individual contributors. Located across from Battlefield Memorial Park, which commemorates the 1779 Battle of Savannah, the museum setting offers meaningful context for exploring this chapter of American history. The exhibition is available during regular museum hours every day.

A weekly drop in program at the Jepson Center invites families to explore art activities inspired by the new CAM exhibition The World of William O. Golding. Each month brings a fresh nautical project in the CAM family lounge, and in August participants can spell their names using nautical signal flags and create a lighthouse of their own. Admission is free for Telfair Members or included with museum entry. New, parents and caregivers with toddlers and young children who receive SNAP can access the CAM a la Carte program at no cost by presenting an EBT card at the front desk.
