Ellis Square hosts a refreshed edition of the 13th Annual Savannah T.E.A.L.® Walk for Ovarian Cancer, highlighted by a playful downtown scavenger-style search led by the whimsical T.E.A.L.® Hatter. After 12 years at Lake Mayer, the festivities shift to the heart of Savannah. Participants begin in Ellis Square to pick up a game card, then explore nearby businesses at their own pace to spot the T.E.A.L.® Hatter logo, collect stamps, and earn prizes. Stops include partners such as Kendra Scott and Andaz Savannah Hotel, with more to come, and the day wraps up back at Ellis Square with photos, vendors, festivities, and refreshments. Completing the game unlocks exclusive refreshments at Andaz. Wearing teal and a festive party hat is encouraged. Registration includes an exclusive Follow the T.E.A.L.® Hatter T-shirt, a customizable bib, the game card, both virtual and physical goodie bags, access to vendors and activities in Ellis Square, and opportunities for special deals and goodies from participating businesses. This family friendly gathering raises awareness and funds for ovarian cancer and women’s health programs, emphasizing that there is no accurate screening test and that 1 in 78 is a woman’s lifetime risk.

Anyone might be drawn into the plot and even find themselves under suspicion as clues emerge. The format is social and highly interactive, and it is designed for adults. Part of a nationwide production delighting audiences since 2004, the evening offers clever twists, big laughs, and spontaneous surprises from start to finish.

Thomas Claxton’s Behind the Hits concert series presents an evening with Elliot Easton and Greg Hawkes, two founding members of The Cars appearing together onstage for the first time since their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction. The event features a Q&A led by series founder Thomas Claxton that looks at their careers and impact, along with a full-production concert backed by an eight-piece band revisiting the music of The Cars and additional selections. Easton, the group’s original lead guitarist and a Berklee alumnus, helped shape classics like Just What I Needed, My Best Friend’s Girl, Let’s Go, Shake It Up, and You Might Think, continued as a solo artist and collaborator after the band’s original run, reunited for the 2011 album Move Like This, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018. Hawkes, the band’s trailblazing keyboardist who studied composition and flute at Berklee, defined their signature synth-driven sound on hits including Just What I Needed, Let’s Go, Shake It Up, Drive, and You Might Think, built an extensive career as a composer, session musician, producer, and solo artist, rejoined for Move Like This, and entered the Hall in 2018. Their work helped define late 1970s and 1980s new wave and synth pop, and their influence continues to resonate with generations of musicians and fans.

Jerkweed, a pop punk and emo tribute band, returns to the Barrelhouse South stage with a performance packed with Warped Tour nostalgia.
