Drawing on soul, R&B, rock, gospel, and jazz, her style has been compared to icons such as Billie Holiday, Amy Winehouse, Adele, and Nina Simone while remaining distinctly her own. Influences range from Ella Fitzgerald, Lauryn Hill, and Donny Hathaway to Solange, Tyler, the Creator, Beyoncé, Geese, SZA, Lana Del Rey, and her sister Victory Boyd. Performing since childhood, she plays guitar and bass, and her work is guided by a mission to help listeners feel seen and understood. She believes in the healing power of music and strives to create art that connects people, living with purpose and without regret.
