Submission-only grappling comes to Omaha at Bellevue Junior Sports Association, featuring gi and no-gi divisions in a double elimination format. The tournament welcomes kids, teens, and adults, with separate divisions for men and women beginning at age 4. Bouts follow a modified EBI ruleset for Youth, Teen, and Adult categories, with overtime used when a match ends without a submission. Novice brackets are available for first-time competitors with less than six months of experience in any grappling art. Custom medals are awarded to the top three finishers. Registration offers early bird pricing at $79 for one division and $99 for two, with Absolute divisions available for $40. Standard registration is $99 for one division and $129 for two, with Absolute divisions at $60. A limited 25 percent discount is available to the first 20 competitors who use code bvue26 at checkout. Competitor lists are visible throughout registration, and edits are allowed until the posted deadline. When necessary, divisions may be combined to create matchups. If no suitable matchup exists once brackets are finalized, competitors receive a coupon credit for a future Submission Challenge event. Weigh-ins take place on the day of the tournament, and athletes may weigh in wearing appropriate attire, with no requirement to weigh in wearing a gi. Athletes who miss weight are moved to the next available class, and are disqualified if no appropriate option exists. Warm up mats are typically available but may be used to run additional brackets if needed. The schedule and brackets are posted on the event page, and large on-site displays help athletes find their mats. Matches can be decided by submission, overtime criteria, disqualification, or forfeiture. Spectator admission is $15 at the door.
