Created in collaboration with Rosemary Raven Hearth, this monthly queer grief circle grew from a question raised at a Death Cafe at the Franklin Library about where queer people can mourn within a truly safe community. The gathering acknowledges losses that traditional rituals may not hold, whether honoring chosen family, feeling the absence of someone in the community never personally met, or carrying grief that is not about death at all, like estranged relatives after coming out, friendships that ended when living openly, or the life you were told to expect. This is not therapy and it is not a structured support group. It is a caring space to sit with what feels heavy, speak openly, and be with others who understand without needing explanations. In appreciation of allies, attendance is reserved for members of the LGBTQ+ community.

All proceeds go directly to Dorothy’s House, which provides safety, essential needs, access to resources, and community connections that help survivors move forward in their healing.
