Pure Sourdough highlights traditional artisan loaves with no commercial yeast and no flavored inclusions, while customary toppings used in artisan baking are allowed. Specialty Sourdough welcomes creative inclusions such as cheese, herbs, fruit, spices, chocolate, nuts, or seeds, and must also be naturally leavened with an active starter without commercial yeast. The Junior division is open to entrants 17 and younger, who may submit either a traditional or specialty loaf, with a parent or guardian supervising for safety while the junior baker completes the primary preparation and baking. Each entry is one complete, unsliced loaf. The fee is 10 dollars per entry. Entrants may submit to more than one category by providing a separate loaf, registration, and fee for each. This event is for home bakers, and all loaves must be prepared and baked in a home kitchen by the named entrant. Judges will slice loaves during evaluation to assess crust and crumb consistently. A recipe or ingredient sheet is required with each entry, listing the baker’s name, competition category, complete ingredients, any inclusions or toppings, a brief preparation or baking method, and clear identification of common allergens such as milk, eggs, wheat, soy, peanuts, and tree nuts. Recipe sheets are collected at check-in and are separated from baker identities for the judging process. Entries that show spoilage or contamination may be disqualified. xBk presents an evening with Stanley Simmons, the collaboration between Evan Stanley and Nick Simmons. Lifelong friends who grew up on the road with their fathers, Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons of Kiss, they finally made music together and were met with an immediate response that sparked a new project. After early demos caught the attention of producer Rob Cavallo, he came on to manage and produce their debut full length, setting the stage for their first North American tour. This is an all ages show with general admission standing room, and seating is limited and offered on a first come, first served basis. ADA accommodations are available upon request. Reserved table add ons are offered for those who want to secure seats. Each table fits up to four and does not include admission, so every attendee will still need a general admission ticket.
