A free community festival offers plentiful food and a carnival for kids, with a large tent in place so the 80s dance party continues even if it rains. Sixteen Candles has performed at this festival for several years and brings the sounds of the 1980s to life. Since 2003 the band has toured internationally and delivers a high energy show that is performed entirely live without prerecorded tracks, letting onstage chemistry shine for a memorable concert experience.

Marking its seventh anniversary, the Corrida del Mariachi 5K fills Berwyn’s leafy neighborhood streets with music and movement. Runners are energized by live mariachi, traditional folkloric dance, and DJs along the route, then return to the start for a spirited finish. The celebration continues afterward with local food and drinks, over 40 craft vendors, kids activities, live bands, and plenty of dancing, all centered on culture and community. Proceeds benefit North Berwyn Park District Art programs. Registration is available in timed and untimed options, with early bird prices of $50 for untimed and $55 for timed entries, and standard pricing until sold out at $55 and $60. An email is needed for confirmation, online registration requires a valid credit card, and a signed waiver is part of the process. For participants under 18, an adult must complete and sign the form. All ages, backgrounds, and abilities are welcome. Strollers may participate with lineup toward the back. For safety, animals, skates, skateboards, and bicycles are not permitted on the course.
