Instruction also includes dunun, the cylindrical bass drums, and those instruments are provided. Djembes are available to rent if needed for $5 per day, paid directly to Taylor. No previous experience is required. Tuition is $20 per class, cash is preferred, and pricing can be flexible for those facing financial hardship or for families with youth over 7. No preregistration is required, and instrument rentals should be requested at least a day in advance.

Marking its seventh anniversary, the Corrida del Mariachi 5K fills Berwyn’s leafy neighborhood streets with music and movement. Runners are energized by live mariachi, traditional folkloric dance, and DJs along the route, then return to the start for a spirited finish.
