A refreshed take on a community favorite comes to downtown Barrington, where Thursday Night Out fills the BMO Lot and Cook Street with classic cars, local vendors, live music, and family friendly fun. Formerly called Cruise Night, this reimagined gathering celebrates community spirit with something for all ages. The event is supported by Advocate Good Shepherd Smart Farm, Motor Werks, Barrington Bank & Trust, Marquardt of Barrington, the Village of Barrington, and Bob the DJ. Cruise Nights brings classic cars, hot rods, muscle cars, trucks, and custom rides to Rookies All-American Pub & Grill in Huntley for an easygoing showcase of chrome, horsepower, music, and conversation. There is no entry fee, and drivers who bring their vehicles receive half-priced pizzas. The setting includes an outdoor patio, plenty of food options, and a family-friendly vibe. Now in its 14th year, this long-running gathering continues to draw car enthusiasts from across the area. Presented by Double K Productions.

A six week puppy training course is offered at Project Hope Animal Rescue Foundation, with separate beginner and intermediate tracks to fit different experience levels. The program cost is $150. Sign-up is available.

McHenry County Dog Daze transforms Kaper Park into a celebration of dogs, with free admission and free parking. Leashed pups are welcome alongside their people for a full day of activities and showcases. Rescue and adoption groups will be on site, along with pet-focused vendors offering treats and unique gear, plus food trucks and refreshments. Program highlights include a K-9 unit demonstration from the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, a search and rescue drone demonstration, energetic disc dog performances, a live dog training session, and a complimentary tai chi class that welcomes dogs. Friendly best-of competitions with awards add to the fun, and a professional photographer and a caricature artist will be capturing memories. Presented by Animal Humane Advocacy, the event also welcomes a diverse mix of vendors such as artisans, crafters, candle and jewelry makers, handmade gift creators, boutique retailers, pet product and treat businesses, pet service providers, home decor sellers, and other local small businesses. Volunteers are welcome as well.

True Company takes the stage with a live set that ranges from classic oldies to today's top hits. The playlist invites sing-alongs and keeps people dancing.
