An open air celebration of Argentine tango unfolds at Gallagher Way outside Wrigley Field, free to attend and welcoming for both experienced dancers and complete beginners. The evening blends a live concert with a social milonga, creating a friendly setting for music and movement. The Chicago Tango Ensemble will perform with tango singer Andres Gross, and a beginner lesson plus a featured performance will be led by Chicago Tango World Champion Jesica Arfenoni and Hernan Prieto. Attendees can bring a blanket, enjoy a picnic on the lawn, and take in the energy of a live tango orchestra among a warm community. Please note there is no wooden dance floor. The surface is cement bricks, so wear appropriate footwear, with practice shoes preferred.

ECI Tuesdays bring an open air night of mambo, salsa, bachata and more to Pier 31 along the lakefront. Presented by El Caobo Internacional and now in its twelfth year, this seasonal weekly series pairs a dance lesson with social dancing, and there is no cover. For this edition, the schedule lists a bachata lesson with Amina May, followed by a mix of music that keeps the floor moving. All activities are weather dependent and programming may change. Everyone is welcome, from first timers to seasoned dancers, and food and drinks are available for purchase. A 50/50 raffle is planned, tickets are 5 dollars each and the winner must be present to claim the prize.
