Sounds on 66 wraps up its season at Joliet City Square with The Steepwater Band, a Chicago blues-rock group known for searing twin-guitar interplay, gritty grooves, and a sound that fuses classic rock swagger with deep Chicago blues roots. The band has built its reputation on the road for decades, sharing stages with artists such as Gov’t Mule, Cheap Trick, and the Doobie Brothers, and is widely recognized as a standout Midwestern live act. Expect high-energy rock and roll, soulful vocals, and guitar fireworks that nod to influences like the Rolling Stones, the Black Crowes, and Free while remaining unmistakably their own. Admission is free and the event is family friendly. Under Joliet’s social district rules, drinks purchased from participating downtown bars and restaurants in official cups may be enjoyed throughout City Square.
