Located in the parking lot of the Trickster Cultural Center in Schaumburg Town Square, this open-air market features area farmers and makers offering seasonal fruits and vegetables, organic options, microgreens, pasture-raised meats, cheeses, flowers and plants, plus dog treats prepared by local producers. Additional highlights include knife sharpening and handcrafted body care, along with a range of ready-to-eat choices such as pizza, breakfast sandwiches, empanadas, pierogies, crepes, lemonade, kettle corn, coffee and Italian ice. For the comfort and safety of all attendees, pets and wheeled items like bicycles, roller skates, skateboards and scooters are not allowed within the market.

A lively ABBA tribute led by two dynamic vocalists and supported by elite musicians brings the group’s classic sound to life at the Performance Pavilion at Heritage Park. Admission is free.

Enjoy a free live show at Twin Lakes as Oh Yes! takes the stage with energetic, crowd pleasing music that gets audiences up and singing along. Seating is available on a first come basis. RoccoVino’s will offer food and beverages for purchase, and outside food and drinks are prohibited on the deck and patio. Bringing bagged chairs is encouraged. Pack in the Park is a free community program at Goodwin Park that helps dog owners practice training with real-world distractions while keeping social interactions at a comfortable distance. The session is led by certified trainer Shannon Joe. For everyone’s safety and comfort, keep dogs on regular leashes and do not use retractable leads. Skip nose-to-nose greetings and allow generous space between dogs, adding more distance if any dog appears uneasy. Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets. Poop bags are supplied in the park by the District, though bringing your own is recommended.

The Studio opens for volunteer work, offering projects for both people who sew and those who do not. Volunteers with at least intermediate sewing experience can learn to make angel gowns and are asked to bring a portable sewing machine. Others can help by tracing and cutting pattern pieces, assembling sewing kits, cutting ribbon lengths, deconstructing wedding dresses, prepacking angel gowns for delivery, checking in donated wedding dresses, photographing wedding dresses or finished angel gowns, and other similar tasks. There is a break partway through with bottled water and snacks provided, and bringing your own lunch is welcome. Participation can be for the entire session or for a shorter visit.

The Schaumburg Business Association stewards a 0.45 mile stretch of roadway through the Adopt-A-Highway program, offering corporate team building and individual volunteer opportunities across four cleanups each year. This cleanup focuses on collecting litter along the association’s adopted section in Schaumburg to help keep the community welcoming for residents, workers, and visitors. Afterward, participants continue to support local businesses with a casual happy hour at a nearby food and beverage spot. To ensure enough equipment for everyone, attendees are asked to RSVP with the program leader in advance.

A spirited family performance by Wendy & DB takes place at the Performance Pavilion at Heritage Park. This Chicago duo, recognized with awards for their work in children’s music, brings original songs with uplifting lyrics and catchy melodies that invite kids and families to sing, dance, and move together. The show fosters curiosity and creativity and offers joyful shared moments. Admission is free.

Families can savor a treat, test their luck and share time together in a friendly community setting. Admission is free. Ice cream, wagon rides and bingo cards are available for purchase. Please park at St. Matthew Church and follow the signs to the event.
