A major two-day BMX race weekend is on the way with a Double Points race on the first day and a Triple Points State and Gold Cup qualifier on the second. Presigns are available to help riders avoid on-site lines. Volunteers are needed in all roles to keep the event running smoothly, and both experienced and first-time helpers are welcome. Race fees vary by day and category: Striders are $16 on the first day and $24 on the second, and Cruiser, Class, and Open entries are $30 on the first day and $50 on the second. Payment is due at the time of registration through a Square payment link or Venmo, and cash can be paid at the track during race check-in. Riders planning to compete both days should complete registration for each day separately.

Head to Columbus Propeller MakerSpace for a hands-on candle making workshop led by Panthera Candleworks. You’ll pour, mix, and create your own custom candle in a relaxed, creative setting, with no prior experience needed. All ages are welcome, and you’ll make a candle to take home.

A full slate of five conformation specialties is planned in partnership with the Dachshund Club of Southwestern Ohio, subject to AKC approval. The judging lineup spans the weekend, with Friday morning featuring Emi Pedraza for juniors and sweepstakes and Ken Levison for breed, followed by Debbie Melgreen on Friday afternoon. David Samuelson judges Saturday morning, Edmund Dziuk takes the ring Saturday afternoon, and Adrian Agard, provisional, judges Sunday morning. Junior Showmanship is offered at all five shows at no cost. The event takes place at Bartholomew County 4-H Fair, Inc in Columbus, IN, with an air‑conditioned building, RV sites with full hookups, ample grass and parking, and a raffle, rosettes, and plaques. Sandy Arnold serves as show chair for all five specialties, and Georjies Dog Events is the on‑site show secretary with online entries.
