A long-running, grassroots mountain bike festival in Indiana, presented by Brown County Mountain Biking, a nonprofit that stewards and cares for the local trail system. All proceeds are reinvested in building and maintaining Brown County trails, directly supporting the places riders enjoy. The weekend brings together local music, food, artists, and vendors to create a unique community experience. Get started with hockey in a welcoming, beginner-focused program featuring on-ice instruction in partnership with Columbus Youth Hockey. Sessions are open to children ages 4 to 13, with an added option for teens 13 to 19. Each session is $5, and all necessary gear is provided. Participants will be fitted for equipment and will sign in at the main office before getting on the ice.

An autocross points event at Cummins Test Track features competition runs with opportunities to learn the course. Gates open early, and entry and exit become limited after a cut-off. Competitors are encouraged to arrive before check-in, and spectators or riders should plan to be on site before restrictions begin. The day includes tech inspection and registration, an open course walk window with a guided walk, a drivers meeting, and then competition runs. Please do not begin a course walk after the posted cut-off. Late registration is available for an additional $10 until the cut-off. Entry fees are offered for a single day or for both days. Single day: SCCA members $30, non-members $50 with an SCCA Weekend Membership added during sign up. Both days: SCCA members $50, non-members $75 with an SCCA Weekend Membership added during sign up.

The SMVS posse of NCOWS hosts a monthly shoot featuring six stages with a strong emphasis on safety and historical attire. Registration takes place before a mandatory safety briefing, and the match begins right after the briefing concludes. Everyone attending is required to wear safety eyewear and hearing protection. Shooters must arrive in authentic pre-1900 western clothing, and ball caps or t-shirts are not permitted.

A fall car and truck show at Master Power Transmission spotlights Ford vehicles and Mustangs. This year the featured model is the Boss Mustang, providing a central focus for the displays throughout the show.

Learn the fundamentals of small game hunting at a beginner-friendly workshop held at Atterbury Fish & Wildlife Area. Geared toward adults 16 and older, the session introduces basic squirrel biology, effective hunting strategies, gear selection, safety practices, and regulations, then shows how to turn a successful harvest into a meal from field to table. Instruction begins with a 30 to 45 minute presentation followed by hands-on activities to practice skills you may use in the field. Expect a short walk of up to one mile. Wear pants and closed-toe shoes for comfort and safety. Prior hunter education certification is not required, though the material builds on its core principles. This free workshop requires registration. Brown County, Indiana marks its first public Pride celebration at the Brown County Inn. Attendees can explore an art and resources market, enjoy live performances, and find activities for kids, with more planned. A non-registered Sunday shoot hosted by Columbus Gun Club at CERAland Recreational Park features a 100 bird Calcutta reserved for CGC club members. Non-members can purchase membership that remains valid through the end of the 2027 calendar year. Activities move from practice to a sale for participants, then competition begins right after. The program consists of 50 targets from 16 yards and 50 targets at ATA, with no ATA involved, and management will set a known shooting distance.

The second Columbus Oktoberfest expands on last year with traditional German fare, local vendors, several biergartens, and live polka. Expect a festive atmosphere with activities for all ages, and free tickets available through Eventbrite.

The day includes on-site registration and tech inspection, along with time to walk the course. A guided course walk takes place before the driver’s meeting. Competition begins after the meeting and is expected to wrap up later in the day. Entry pricing is available for a single day or for both days of the weekend. Single day fees are $30 for SCCA members and $50 for non-members. Weekend pricing is $50 for SCCA members and $75 for non-members. Non-members must add an SCCA Weekend Membership when registering. Late registration is offered for an additional $10 until the posted cutoff, and course walks should not be started after the final walking window closes.
