The practice centers on Belegarth Medieval Combat Society, a fast paced, full contact foam fighting sport that blends fantasy flavor with the physicality of a contact sport. Participants use foam padded weapons in a competitive and friendly environment, with all gear safety checked and field marshals enforcing the rules. Newcomers are welcome and do not need to bring equipment, as loaner swords and shields are provided. Wear athletic clothing and sturdy shoes, not cleats, and bring water to stay hydrated. The atmosphere is family friendly, and many regulars have children from newborn to teens. To take part in the fighting, minors must be at least 16, have a notarized waiver, and have a parent or guardian present for the full practice. Activities are weather dependent, and any last minute cancellations are shared on the event page.

Big Creek Archers presents the 2nd Annual Bownanza, a large two course archery shoot with 50 total targets.
