Mike Familant, a producer and lead investigator from New Jersey, shares the story of his long running search for Bigfoot, the North American cryptid also known as Sasquatch, Grassman, Skunk Ape, and Big Red Eye. With more than fifteen years in the field, he recounts expeditions from the swamps of Florida to the forests of northern Maine and presents documented findings along with the data that support them. As the full time lead investigator and producer of the series In the Shadow of Big Red Eye, he highlights key evidence, the methods behind his research, and the challenges that come with tracking an elusive biped. A Q&A follows the talk, and he will be available afterward for photos and autographs.

A portion of proceeds benefits the Linda Friday Scholarship Fund for Career Trades Education at Chesapeake College.

The fourth annual Terre Haute Balloon Festival fills Terre Haute Regional Airport with a Balloon Glow, live music, a variety of food trucks, and a free kids zone. Tethered balloon rides are available for an additional $20 per person and are cash only. All balloon flights and displays depend on weather conditions. Proceeds from the festival support Chances and Services for Youth. Vendor applications are handled only by Emilee Roberts, Brandon Halleck, or through the event’s official Facebook page. THSO celebrates its 100th year as Indiana’s oldest professional orchestra with the launch of the Centennial Sounds season at Tilson Auditorium under Music Director Roger Kalia. The program opens with selections from Quinn Mason’s A Joyous Trilogy, features violinist Eunice Kim in Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto, and concludes with Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6. Season tickets for all five regular season concerts start at $95 for adults and $24 for students and youth. Single tickets start at $20 for adults and $6 for students and youth. New season ticket holders can receive a buy one, get one 50 percent off offer when purchasing two adult tickets. Before the performance, a three-course Supper at the Symphony is available in the Heritage Ballroom next to Tilson Auditorium in Tirey Hall on the campus of Indiana State University. Reservations are $30, and concert tickets and supper reservations are sold separately. Concert Conversations with Music Director Roger Kalia also take place in the Heritage Ballroom prior to the performance, offering insights into the repertoire and interviews with guest artists. This talk is free for all concert ticket holders.

Held at the First Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Terre Haute, next to the Humane Shelter, this indoor and outdoor gathering features local artists, live demonstrations, theater and music performances, and booths to explore. Enjoy fall favorites, a 50/50 drawing, and other festive touches in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Free admission.

Enjoy a two hour tribute led by Dennis Stroughmatt that honors the legacy of Ray Price and the Cherokee Cowboys from the era when fiddles, steel guitar, and strong songwriting shaped Country music. The performance follows the music’s lineage from pioneers like Bob Wills and Hank Williams to Cherokee Cowboys alumni such as Willie Nelson, Johnny Bush, Roger Miller, and Buddy Spicher. Combining storytelling with lively performances, it explores the roots of Western Swing and the tradition of honky tonk. The set features favorites including One More Time, Heartaches By The Number, Don't You Ever Get Tired of Hurting Me, Invitation to the Blues, Crazy Arms, San Antonio Rose, Danny Boy, and For the Good Times. Stroughmatt appears with a skilled band that can include former Cherokee Cowboys. Tickets are available, with general admission priced at $20 and reserved seating at $25.

Enjoy an evening of Country, Christian, and Gospel music with The Sound at Memorial United Methodist Church in Terre Haute, Indiana. This Nashville-based family trio unites brothers Levi and Jacob Mills with their father, Rob, delivering rich harmonies and an engaging stage presence. Rob was on staff at a local church while raising his family, and the Mills children spent much of their lives making Christian music, with their faith remaining central to who they are. Together, they formed The Sound and released a Dove Award-winning Christian album that blends pop and country influences.

Bad Apple Saloon hosts David Graham, a road-tested honky tonk bandleader known for raucous hillbilly rock and roll. His live show was shaped by marathon four-hour sets on Nashville’s Lower Broadway and Memphis’s Beale Street, and his workhorse approach keeps him onstage for more than 275 performances each year, from roadside bars to major concert halls across the world. The music spans traditional country western through classic rock and roll, delivered with grit and high energy. Audiences know him from regular appearances at Layla’s Honky Tonk in Nashville, Blues City Café in Memphis, and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and this stop in Cory, IN brings that same charge to the room.

This session features a spirited mix of dance fitness and chair-based workouts that turn exercise into a fun sweat session. It includes movement options for both standing and seated participation. The class takes place at The Outreach Center.

Dragonspire Belegarth offers live action foam-combat roleplay set in a medieval high fantasy world. This outdoor activity features energetic battles suitable for groups of friends. Activities take place at Fairbanks Park in the field across from the YMCA, weather permitting.
