    Rock On Prairie Fest marks its 10th official edition and 11th year with two days filled with live music, food, and a welcoming crowd. The focus is on hardworking regional bands, blending returning favorites with artists new to the festival, and providing a free camping experience to make it a full weekend. The first night features sets from Plastique with psychedelic sounds from MHK, The Ghost Racket with MHK indie rock, MIZTUH CHAZS & KJ PRIEST representing MHK hip hop, Steer Away bringing LFK punk, Jenna & Martin playing traditional country from LFK, and BARRAGE KC delivering KC metal. The second day begins with acoustic performances through the afternoon, then ramps up with Mad Kings bringing LFK blues rock, Latchkey Party with Rich Yarges offering rock from MHK and Minnesota, Terror Tractor with MHK metal, Headlight Rivals with MHK rock, LYXE with LFK indie pop rock, and PINK FUZZ with Colorado desert rock. More performers will be announced, and details for the acoustic lineup are on the way. Funds raised support several organizations, with a primary emphasis on the Manhattan Sports Club, a local Special Olympics chapter that has been a beneficiary since the festival’s early years. Supporters include the Fetters Family, M1 Construction, Acorns Resort, Art Press Fund, The Press Venue, Auntie Mae’s Parlor, Sisters of Sound, Sloan FX, Monkey House Production, and Johnny V’s BBQ. Admission is $20 per day at the gate. Vendors and food will be on site. BYOB is allowed and coolers are permitted. Camping is free. Dogs are welcome, and owners are responsible for any damage or injury.
