Get ready for Rolling Hills Zoo’s “Run for the Hills,” with options to join the 5K, the Fun Run, or both. The approximate 1-mile Fun Run includes playful challenges like getting colored and being splashed along the way. After the runs, breakfast and an award ceremony get underway west of the museum.

Join Rolling Hills Zoo for the Run for the Hills 5K and Fun Run. You can take part in either event or do both for one registration price. The morning kicks off with registration and packet pick-up, followed by the 5K start, then the approximate 1-mile Fun Run with a colorful, obstacle-style course. Afterward, breakfast and an awards ceremony begin west of the Museum. Registration includes a Run for the Hills T-shirt and bib, complimentary breakfast for you, zoo and wildlife museum access, and professional timing for 5K medals and select categories.

Take a relaxed, one hour spin through Salina with a focus on light exercise and friendly conversation. Meet at the west end of the parking lot. This ride is appropriate for adults and older children. Please bring a bicycle that is in good working order and wear a helmet.

Across 12 Saturdays this summer at the Downtown Farmers Market, children ages 4 to 12 can earn tokens to spend on their own fresh fruits and vegetables from market vendors. Each week features a new activity that encourages learning and exploration of the Power of Produce. Registration is available at the market booth, and there is also an option to pre-register online.

This volleyball skill camp at Kansas Wesleyan University focuses on the fundamentals of the game and building a greater love for volleyball. The day also includes competitive games to put what you learn into action. There are separate time blocks for different grade levels, with 9am to 12pm for K through 5th grade, and 1pm to 4pm for 6th through 12th grade.

Enjoy a blind draw coed 4s beach volleyball tournament at 785 Dive that blends competitive play with a social vibe. Players sign up individually and are placed on teams, rotating so you team up with at least two different teammates each set. The event uses round robin pool play with no bracket, and champions are decided by total sets won. Matches feature four on the court, two men and two women, played on coed net height, and a minimum number of matches is guaranteed. Rules include no open hand tips, servers rotating in order, and directional blocking allowed. Setting doubles are called at the A level and not called at the B level. Standard sand rules apply, with additional details covered during the captains meeting. Outside food and drinks are not permitted. The entry fee is $20 per player. Whether aiming for the top spot or just looking for a friendly run on the sand, the rotating format makes it easy to meet new people and enjoy the game.

Enjoy D&D Adventure League during a recurring game night that is free to attend. Players with experience and those learning the game are equally welcome, creating a friendly space to sit down and play together. Friends who already play D&D or are curious to learn can take part at no cost.
