The program aims to spark curiosity, build confidence outdoors, and deepen understanding of how clean water supports both wildlife and people.

This interactive workshop blends music, movement, and mindfulness for young learners. Children explore their own sounds and creativity, try gentle yoga-inspired poses to connect with their bodies, and learn songs that encourage heart-centered expression. The group also covers simple ways to steady the nervous system when emotions feel big, followed by breathing practices that serve as a bridge between inner experience and outward expression. Explore Pleasant Valley’s wetlands on a naturalist-led hike of about 1.5 miles and see how generations of beavers have shaped the landscape. Along the way, learn to recognize and interpret the signs they leave behind and what those clues reveal about their behavior and habitat. Hear the story of Pleasant Valley’s part in beaver conservation and their return to Massachusetts. If conditions cooperate, the quieter late afternoon may bring opportunities to observe beavers and other wetland wildlife.

Celebrate summer at The Mount with a family day full of creativity, music, and play. Children can dance to live tunes, settle in for engaging storytelling, and dive into hands on arts and crafts. Budding artists can try making a mini comic, while word lovers can jump into a lively, quick poetry challenge. A free educational class presented in partnership with Berkshire Humane Society’s Family Dog School and hosted at Roxie’s Barkery offers practical dog education for the community. A certified professional dog trainer leads each session, with rotating topics that help owners build skills, communicate more clearly, and strengthen the bond with their dogs. New and longtime dog owners are welcome. Registration is required and seating is limited. These are people-only sessions, and the instructor may bring a demonstration dog when appropriate. The Little Bellas Berkshires Half-Day Camp is a weeklong, all-girls mountain biking program at Springside Park in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, set among trails that are highly regarded in the area. Designed for the morning hours, it welcomes girls ages 8 to 11 at any experience level, whether they are new to biking or already confident on singletrack. Each day features a blend of guided trail riding, focused skills practice, and fun games on and off the bike. Over the course of the week, participants build bike handling abilities, grow confidence through playful challenges, and develop friendships that make riding even more rewarding. Supportive mentors lead the activities, and every session brings fresh adventures and plenty of smiles. The camp runs regardless of weather, with an indoor plan available if conditions require it. Financial assistance and gear support are available and can be requested during registration. This camp complies with MDPH regulations and is licensed by the LBOH.

Set in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the 1791 Baseball Tournament features a combined 16 and 17 age group. Teams from both ages will compete within the same grouping throughout the event.

UNO Drop-in Art Club brings together educators from the Clark, MASS MoCA, and nbCC for a free weekly art program designed for ages 8 to 19. A drop-in art-making session invites visitors to explore sculpted portraiture in the special exhibition An Exquisite Eye: Introducing the Aso O. Tavitian Collection, drawing inspiration from Andrea della Robbia’s glazed terracotta Portrait of a Youth. By the reflecting pool, participants can create a relief portrait, and all supplies are provided. If severe weather arises, the activity shifts to the Michael Conforti Pavilion.
