Set out from the Hallett Barn Visitors Center at Falmouth Museums on the Green for a guided stroll along Locust Street. Along the way, learn about the homes and family lives of several whaling captains, the community’s earliest settlement, the service of local soldiers from the Revolutionary War through the Civil War, and the historic town burying ground. The tour is free, donations are welcome, and no registration is required.

A relaxed knitting meetup welcomes participants of every skill level. There is no fee to take part, and newcomers as well as experienced crafters are encouraged. Bring a work in progress to continue, or cast on a brand-new project and enjoy creating alongside others.

Enjoy a calm Zen meditation session in the Community Room led by Unshin Sangaku Dan Joslyn-sensei. Each hour-long gathering combines guided practice with periods of quiet sitting. The program is free and open to everyone, with donations appreciated. Series registration is available. Dan is the founder and guiding teacher of Falmouth Soto Zen Sangha and brings more than twenty years of teaching experience.

Seaside Knitters is a welcoming, no cost gathering for knitters of any experience level. Participants can bring a project already in progress or start something new while spending time with others who enjoy the craft.

Little ones can explore and socialize during a relaxed playtime supervised by parents and caregivers, created for children from infancy through age four. This weekly gathering is held in the children’s play space on the library’s lower level, and there is no cost to attend.

Thrive Space is a free weekly recovery support group that provides a welcoming, judgment-free environment to connect with peers, grow, and strengthen your foundation in recovery. It is open to anyone at any stage, from getting started to maintaining long-term recovery, and there is no requirement to be a Duffy patient. Sessions are facilitated by recovery coach Erika Jabas and take place at Duffy Health Center. The focus is on building community, fostering hope, and supporting one another.
