During this time, music stays gentle, noise-canceling headphones are available, boarding and exiting include extra time, and activity is reduced to maintain a calm, safe atmosphere. Sensory-friendly activities will be set up around the carousel, and everyone can ride at their own pace. Admission is free with support from Save the Harbor Save the Bay. Clear out the gear closet and help give sports equipment a second life at this community swap at Hall Park beside the Farmers Market. Donate outgrown or unused items or pick up something new to you. Please bring items early enough so others have a chance to find them rather than right at closing. All items must be in good condition. Accepted items include sports balls, bats, mitts and sports gloves, cleats and shin guards, racquets and paddles, lacrosse, field hockey and hockey sticks, rollerblades, youth golf clubs, swim goggles, and razor scooters. Items that will not be accepted include helmets, pads, ski or snowboard gear, sneakers, clothing, hunting or archery equipment, bicycles, and ice skates. Black plastic takeout containers will also be collected for recycling.

Enjoy a calming yoga session by the Mystic River with a complimentary class supported by Mass General Brigham Health Plan and led by YogaSix. Please bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. Advance registration is required for each class. If inclement weather is expected, participants will be notified of any cancellation beforehand. It takes about 15 minutes, there is no sign-up or attendee limit, and anyone who wants to scream is welcome. Wear whatever feels right, from a hoodie or pajamas to something wildly expressive. This is a public event for emotional release, not a therapy session, so participate at your own discretion. Expect an unusual, uplifting, and surprisingly cathartic burst of Boston energy that can leave the day feeling a little lighter.

Celebrating its ten year anniversary, this youth-centered basketball event offers a complimentary skills clinic for children led by guest coaches affiliated with the NBA and WNBA. There will be competitive hoops competitions, a variety of mobile food vendors, and dedicated activity areas for kids. The program is designed to honor young people and uplift them through the game.

Celebrating its 10th year, Hoops and Hope hosts a free youth clinic at Dugger Park, welcoming participants ages 7 to 17. NBA and WNBA players and coaches will serve as guest coaches, guiding attendees throughout the session. Registration is available, space is limited, and the program typically reaches capacity each year.

Saborcito brings a free dance class and dance party to The Anchor Boston. Presented by The Anchor Boston, Sabor Latino, Salsa y Control and DJ Hernan, the event starts with a salsa lesson and continues with social dancing in the venue’s open-air courtyard patio.
