Healthy Babies, Happy Moms offers a class that equips expectant parents with clear information and practical skills so they can approach feeding their newborn with confidence. It is especially helpful during the third trimester, and partners are encouraged to participate as part of the support team. Led by an experienced lactation team, the session creates a welcoming space to ask questions and practice hands-on techniques. Participants explore the benefits of breastfeeding, ways to assess breast health during pregnancy, how lactation works, and comfortable positions that support both parent and baby. The class also covers typical suck patterns, how to establish a comfortable latch, and common concerns that may arise for babies and mothers in the early days and weeks. The sixth annual Don’t Lose Hope 5k is a community run and walk centered on suicide awareness and mental health. Early national figures from 2025 indicate that nearly 50,000 people in the United States die by suicide each year. Participants are welcome to run, jog, or walk in memory of someone lost, in support of a friend who is struggling, or for their own wellbeing. The event encourages honest conversations, meaningful check ins, and everyday kindness. Suicide is not a sign of weakness, it signals pain that cannot be carried alone. By taking part, attendees help challenge stigma and show visible support for mental health. Same day registrations will be accepted. On race day, participants should check in and can pick up honor beads.
