A weekly, all-levels yoga class unfolds outdoors at Rocky Point with open sky and peaceful bay views. Practice takes place on the field to the right of the arch when facing the water, near the end of the old saltwater pool and just before the beach. Beginners are welcome, with options for different levels and an emphasis on linking breath with movement. Bring a yoga mat, a large towel or blanket to place underneath, water, and blocks if you have them. Wear comfortable clothing and consider layers since it can be breezy by the water. Parking is available in a nearby lot that offers the shortest walk to the field, with another larger lot at the opposite end of the park. Some participants like to stay after to chat or even cool off with a quick dip in the bay. Weather updates are posted on the event page. A $10 donation is appreciated, and cash is preferred. No reservation is needed.

America, UNFINISHED?!
WaterFire Arts Center presents America, Unfinished?!, a large scale contemporary art exhibition that brings together artists from across the country to grapple with the layers, tensions, and possibilities of the American experience. Through immersive installations, expansive artworks, and thought provoking interventions, the exhibition considers themes such as identity, democracy, belonging, memory, justice, and civic life, shifting the question from what America is to what it might yet become. Set within the 15,000 square foot Main Hall, the presentation turns the space into an active setting for conversation, reflection, and discovery. Instead of final answers, it encourages encounters with many viewpoints and invites visitors to think about their own role in shaping the nation’s future. An opening reception launches the exhibition. Admission is free for all, with donations appreciated. The exhibition is open Wednesday through Sunday, with extended hours on Thursdays, and is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. DAGGETT FARM THURSDAY NIGHT CONCERT SERIES Featuring "ROADSIDE ATTRACTION!"
Roadside Attraction takes the Thursday night concert stage at Slater Memorial Park for a free one-and-a-half hour performance, presented by the Parks and Recreation Division with support from Coastal Credit Union, My Greene Team, Pamela Hughes, Bandits Baseball Club, Dupuis Oil, and The Washington Trust Company. The band is rooted in funk and jazz and is known for collaboratively reinventing pop and rock favorites with surprising twists. The show is set on the stage in front of Daggett Farm and Len’s Hot Dog And Seafood Haven. During these performances, the Parks and Recreation Division collects canned goods and other non-perishable items to support the Blackstone Valley Food Center and its work to address hunger in the Blackstone Valley area. If weather becomes a concern, performances may move to the Slater Park Pavilion. Updates and cancellation notices are shared on the Pawtucket Parks & Recreation or Daggett Farm Facebook pages.

Friday Night Line Dancing - Get in Line RI
Melissa from Get in Line RI hosts a weekly line dancing night at The Rally. Admission is $5 and includes access to the dance floor plus a complimentary drink. Reservations are available for seats by the dance floor so guests can enjoy food and beverages before, during, and after the dancing. Each gathering starts with a lesson. Twice a month the focus is a beginner-friendly party with easy-to-follow line dances and a few partner dances. On the alternating weeks, the format shifts to all-request sessions aimed at more experienced dancers. Instruction fills the first 30 minutes each week; on beginner nights the lesson stays at the beginner level, and on the other weeks it features one high beginner or improver routine. After the lesson, requests shape the playlist, with partner dances mixed in. When a month includes a fifth week, the theme turns to throwback line and partner dances set to 80s, 90s, and early 2000s country music.

A weekly photography walk that spotlights Rhode Island lighthouses continues with a visit to Conimicut Point Park. The group plans to meet near the beach area beside a small cluster of picnic tables. Photographers with a long telephoto lens or a drone can capture views of Nayatt Point Lighthouse across the water. There may also be an attempt to see Warwick Neck Lighthouse, though access has been closed in recent visits and alternate viewpoints have not been scouted. An optional brunch may follow if there is interest. If weather intervenes, the make-up outing will be scheduled after the final tour of the season and may shift if earlier dates change.
Qigong Workshop
At Light of Hope, this workshop offers a gentle introduction to qigong, a movement practice rooted in healing traditions that supports vital energy, often called qi. Akin to tai chi, it is done at a slow pace in standing postures and does not rely on set choreography, which makes it straightforward to learn. Beginners are welcome. After the movement practice, participants shift to the floor to explore a few self-acupressure points, with chairs available for those who prefer not to get down on the floor. The session concludes with a short meditation, either seated or lying down, during which acupressure is offered. Wear comfortable clothing. Clean shoes or bare feet are both acceptable. No equipment is needed for the qigong portion. For the closing segment, bring a mat or blanket for lying down and a block or cushion for sitting if you have them. A small number of mats, cushions, and chairs will be available. Advance registration is required because space is limited.

Presented by Denise Meza-Mathews, a social worker and program manager with the Family Caregiver Alliance of Rhode Island, the session explores respite opportunities, paid family leave, and long term services and supports. It takes a trauma informed approach to the realities of caregiving, explains how caregivers fit into care teams, and shares information for those supporting an older adult, a person with a disability, or someone managing complex medical needs. It also provides guidance on strengthening caregiver advocacy. An ASL interpreter and captions will be available. The 211 resource van will be on site to assist with a range of needs. WaterFire Providence presents Clear Currents, an annual community paddle that celebrates clean water in Rhode Island with support from Brown University and Amica Insurance. After nightfall, as many as 80 registered kayakers set out carrying glowing Japanese koi lanterns and weave among 76 braziers fueled by wood for a distinctive WaterFire lighting. On shore, visitors can take in live performances and explore food and craft vendors throughout the evening. Participation is limited to experienced paddlers age 18 and up using a solo kayak under 14 feet. Paddle boards, canoes, inflatable kayaks, and outriggers are not allowed. Each participant must bring a kayak, paddles, and a personal flotation device. Registration is $50 per solo kayak and includes a commemorative Clear Currents t-shirt. WaterFire provides and installs the illuminated fish on each boat. Paddlers are organized into six schools, and those who register together can be grouped to paddle side by side. Full refunds are available until ticket sales close, after which a $125 cancellation fee applies. The event runs rain or shine.

The second hour shifts to wings, covering holds, positioning, shapes, turns, and musical interpretation. A short combination ties everything together and can be performed with either prop. A three day workshop series designed as an add-on to a summer intensive centers on whole-person growth so dancers can thrive onstage and off. Participants build practical tools in nutrition, mindset, confidence, and personal development, with the aim of performing at a higher level while feeling stronger, more connected, and empowered in their training. One session focuses on evidence-based nutrition and wellness, including how to fuel for performance, plan balanced meals, practice sustainable self care, cultivate body gratitude, and choose energy supporting snacks while nurturing a healthy relationship with food and the body. Another session turns goals into action through reflection, journaling, visualization, and clear step by step planning to strengthen confidence and clarity. A final session supports body image and mindset with practical, research informed strategies such as body neutrality, self compassion, resilience building, and reframing inner dialogue to foster a healthier relationship with the dance body. The Nourished Dancer workshops meet dancers where they are and offer compassionate, evidence-based guidance that helps them engage more deeply in training, integrate what they learn, and progress in performance and life for a sustainable dance journey. The series is led by Nicole Sabella, a dance professional who toured internationally with the Mark Morris Dance Group for a decade, a dedicated educator, a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, a certified EFT Tapping Practitioner, and a wellness workshop facilitator, as well as the founder of The Nourished Dancer, which has supported dancers through one-on-one coaching and workshops since 2020. Pricing is $30 per class or $80 for the full series, and space is very limited.

The Summer Intensive at Creative Hope Academy of Dance offers a focused week of training designed for dancers who want to deepen technique, expand artistic range, and build confidence in a supportive setting. Visiting guest faculty from across the country bring varied professional experience, creating a rich learning environment. Classes may include ballet, contemporary, jazz, acro and flexibility, turns and leaps, strength and conditioning, and improvisation with an emphasis on artistry. The program highlights personal growth alongside dance skills, encouraging resilience, discipline, and creative expression. Two levels are available, Beginner and Intermediate as well as Intermediate and Advanced, and the full week rate is $375. Additional specialty workshops will be available as optional add-ons.

Kelly & the Poor Boys brings the songs of Creedence Clearwater Revival to Crescent Park as part of the summer concert series. Led by a female vocalist, this tribute act performs the CCR catalog for all ages. Admission is free, and seating is on the lawn near the pavilion, so bring chairs. The Crescent Park Looff Carousel is located across the street. The show will take place weather permitting.
Crescent Park99th Annual Greek Festival 2026
Marking its 99th year, this village-style celebration brings the spirit, music, and cuisine of Greece to life. Tents keep the festivities going rain or shine, and admission is free and open to all. Festival kitchens serve favorites such as gyros, chicken and pork souvlaki, pastitsio, moussaka, spanakopita, and stuffed grape leaves. Sweet treats abound, with loukoumades, Greek rice pudding, kourambiedes, baklava, finikia, koulourakia, and galaktoboureko prepared by the Philoptochos Society. The kafenio pours fragrant Greek coffee and frappe, spotlights a baklava cheesecake, and offers ouzo, Mavrodaphne, Metaxa, or Mastiha. Live Greek music by Georgios Karatzas and Athenian Entertainment sets the tone for dancing. The Greek Pride Dance Troupe appears in traditional attire representing regions across Greece and leads attendees through classic steps to the beat of the band. Cooking demonstrations showcase phyllo techniques for staples like baklava and spanakopita. Guided church tours share insights into Orthodoxy and Byzantine history. An indoor marketplace, the agora, features imported goods along with displays from Rhode Island artists. A QR code at the festival provides quick access to the menu, social media, the ad book, and the schedule for all three days, making it easy to explore everything on offer while waiting in line.

A free, sensory-friendly Touch-a-Truck in Warwick hosted by Bierman Autism Centers invites kids to explore big vehicles up close. Now in its 24th year, Paws in the Park brings a community dog walk to Rocky Point Park with tail wagging fun for people and pets. The event features dog friendly activities, kids activities, a vendor marketplace, a canine costume contest, food trucks, raffles and chances to win grand prizes. It is a peer to peer fundraiser that supports homeless pets, and every step helps give animals a second chance at love and a forever home. Registration will be available soon, and once registered, participants can begin fundraising to help homeless animals in Rhode Island.
