Highland Baptist Church of Fitchburg is partnering with Pibble's Kibbles to offer a pet food distribution. Pet owners can pick up food for their pets during a visit to the food pantry. This effort helps households care for their animals while accessing pantry services.

Nicknamed the "Worcester Sweetheart," Morgan Alyse is known across the New England music scene for a jazzy, folk-leaning ukulele style and sweet, soulful original songs. Her performance provides a gentle, melodic backdrop for browsing fresh local produce.

The Sunflower Festival at Red Apple Farm is a full day of sunflower field fun, with pick-your-own blooms and plenty of sunflower-themed activities for all ages. Expect craft fairs with arts and jewelry, live music and entertainment throughout the day, and great photo opportunities among the flowers.

The inaugural kids market at the farm invites young entrepreneurs to take part as vendors. Families who want their child to participate can find more information and sign-up details.

This annual Days Between celebration at Hollis Hills Farm honors Jerry Garcia with two full sets of music, vendors, and food and beverages. The atmosphere is warm and community minded, set against the open spaces of the farm.

This park event features favorite hits from the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Bring a lawn chair for a comfortable seat while you enjoy the music. A rain date is planned.

This event centers on the annual Lion’s Gate alignment, beginning with a 45 minute mat Pilates session designed for every level. Enjoy a free outdoor classic rock performance by Mr. Strickland as part of the Monument Park Bandstand Concert Series. The concert runs from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with a rain date scheduled for 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on 8/9/26.

Take on a HYROX simulation that lets participants gauge their fitness, stretch their limits, and share the buzz of race day with a supportive community. Move through a series of stations, tackling each challenge one at a time. Compete, cheer, and celebrate together. Registration is available for single participants or double teams.

This 4v4 ball hockey tournament at Fitchburg Street Hockey features teams of up to 10 players including goalies. Each matchup is played as two ten minute periods with stopped time, offsides rules do not apply, and every team will play at least four games. Led by Amina and Arif, this session of Dances of Universal Peace offers taught movements, chants, and songs for each dance, welcoming participants with no prior experience. After the dances, a potluck meal brings everyone together to share food. Inspired by the teachings of Murshid Samuel L. Lewis, the practice is devoted to uplifting the heart, nurturing joy, and fostering harmony and peace.

The Massachusetts Women’s Amateur Championship is an 18-hole stroke play qualifier that feeds into match play. It features two match play flights made up of 32 players each. To be eligible, participants need a current established GHIN handicap from a club that’s a member of the Massachusetts Golf Association.

Favorite children’s stories become hands-on slime experiments in this Challenge Island program. STEAM Teams create imaginative mixtures like Alice’s Unbirthday Cake Slime, Charlie’s Everlasting Gobstopper Slime, Percy’s Blue Cookie Slime, Narnia’s Turkish Delight Slime, and STEAMwarts Butter Beer Slime. Each day includes games and chances to win prizes. Open to ages 6 to 9. Cost is $150 for residents and $170 for non-residents. Held at the Barrett Park Program Building. Young players ages 9 to 13 can dive into pickleball at a skills-focused clinic held at the Doyle Field Pickleball Courts. Through a mix of drills and game play, participants practice fundamentals including serving, forehand and backhand shots, volleys, scoring, and smart court positioning. The program welcomes both newcomers and those aiming to sharpen technique and build confidence. Paddles are provided. Athletic clothing is recommended, and participants should bring a water bottle. The fee is 80 dollars for residents and 100 dollars for nonresidents.

Exercise Hour at the Gardner Family Resource Center offers a relaxed, choose-your-pace workout using prerecorded videos created for adults at any fitness level. Participants can pick what suits them, including yoga, low impact aerobics, chair-based movement, gentle stretching, and other options. The environment is supportive and low pressure, with a focus on moving comfortably and feeling more energized. Childcare can be arranged upon request. Registration is encouraged but not required.

Foodie Week Summer Art Camp invites kids ages 8 to 12 who love making art to spend a creative week in the studio. Campers experiment with a range of techniques while building creativity, confidence, and problem-solving skills in a warm, supportive environment. Hands-on projects and guidance encourage each young artist to explore, learn, and express their ideas.

Participants explore ceramics on the wheel and through hand-building. Finished pieces are fired, then everyone comes back to add glaze. The experience spans five days and includes all materials, guided instruction, kiln firings, and glazes. Enrollment is capped at 10 seats.

Join a monthly, drop-in Grief & Healing Support Group for adults who are working through grief. Facilitated by grief counselor Karen Campbell, MSMHC, the group offers a safe, confidential space to share your experience, learn about the grief process, and pick up strategies for managing grief. All kinds of grief are welcome, and there’s no need to register or commit to attending every time.

A weekly recovery support gathering at Fitchburg CHC offers a no-cost, public space for adults 18 and older who are navigating sobriety or living in recovery from alcohol or other substance use disorders. Guided by CHC recovery coaches, the group emphasizes personal growth through reflection and peer connection. This session meets in Conference Room 2 on the second floor. These walk-in sessions are open to the public and provide support for people living with diabetes. Experience The Final Mile at the Summer Concerts on the Common series presented by the Fitchburg MA Recreation Department.
