Methuen Recreation partners with Circuit Lab to offer a weeklong set of summer programs that turn curious kids into confident creators. Designed for students in grades 4 through 7, these hands-on sessions build problem solving skills while guiding participants to design, test, and refine their own tech projects. One track dives into electronics and the interplay between hardware and software. Participants build simple circuits, program microcontrollers such as Arduino, and experiment with lights, sound, and sensors to see their ideas come to life. Another track focuses on mobile development with the MIT App Inventor platform, introducing core programming concepts and leading students to create functional apps and custom Bluetooth hardware controllers.
