The Record Company - Give It Back To You Tour Featuring Special Guest Charlie Musselwhite Duo

Boarding House Park, 40 French St, Lowell, MA, United States, Massachusetts 01852, Lowell · verified Aug 16
    See details

The Record Company marks a milestone with the Give It Back To You 10th Anniversary Tour, featuring special guest Charlie Musselwhite Duo. The trio of Chris Vos on vocals and guitar, Alex Stiff on bass and backing vocals, and Marc Cazorla on drums and backing vocals came together after a late night in 2011 spent listening to classic blues and trading stories, then turned a next-day jam in Stiff’s Los Feliz living room into the spark for their debut album, Give It Back to You. Rooted in the spirit of Delta blues and charged with classic rock and roll, that album captured a live-in-the-room intensity. Slide guitar, pedal steel, piano, and harmonica color tracks like "Off the Ground," "Rita Mae Young," and "On the Move," giving them grit and immediacy. Give It Back to You stayed on Billboard’s Top New Artist Heatseekers chart for 42 weeks and peaked at number 5. "Off the Ground" reached number one at AAA radio and broke into the Mainstream Rock Top 30, while "Rita Mae Young" climbed to number 12 at AAA. Momentum brought national TV appearances on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan, and CBS This Morning, a buzzed-about turn at Bonnaroo recognized by Rolling Stone Country, and a first headlining tour across the United States. The following year the band opened arenas for John Mayer. The album earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Contemporary Blues Album, and critics highlighted the group’s raw emotion, dedication, and their ability to reinvigorate classic blues and rock traditions. Reflecting on the journey, Chris Vos describes the record as the product of a new friendship and a shared dream that carried them from living room recordings to stages around the world a decade later. Since that breakthrough, The Record Company has released three more albums, including the best-selling 2018 follow-up All of This Life with the hit "Life to Fix." They have shared stages with artists ranging from B.B. King and Social Distortion to Grace Potter and Trombone Shorty, while their music has appeared in films, television, and video games including Bad Moms, Suits, Nashville, Shameless, and MLB The Show 22. In 2023 they returned with their widely praised fourth release, The 4th Album.
