Omar Courtz brings the Por Si Mañana No Estoy USA Tour to MGM Music Hall at Fenway for an all ages performance. Please plan for venue policies that prioritize safety and comfort. Magic Room presents a double bill as Old Tom and the Lookouts perform with special guests The Holy Rollers. This will be The Holy Rollers' first appearance at Magic Room. The Boston folk rock outfit draws on influences such as Mumford and Sons, Wilco, and Frightened Rabbit, and they are inspired by artists including Bruce Springsteen, Counting Crows, Brandi Carlile, Van Morrisson, The Band, and Patti Smith. The Caribbean Street Market and Community Growth Consultant, Inc. present their fifth annual back to school pop-up shop, a community gathering designed to support families as a new school year begins. More than 300 backpacks filled with supplies will be distributed to local kids. Each child must be registered, and distribution is first come, first served. Families can enjoy free grilled food, a bounce house, jumbo outdoor games, and a kids activity table with bracelet making, painting, and other crafts. Shoppers can browse local vendors offering food, desserts, clothing, slushies, crafts, and more. Admission for shoppers is free, free street parking is available, and restrooms are on site for both vendors and attendees. Community Growth Consultant, Inc. will also provide one free bag of groceries per family. School supply donations are welcome to help support the giveaway.

DragonCon’s annual X-Men Universe photo shoot brings together cosplayers at Hilton Steps E for a collaborative session celebrating every corner of the mutant world. All versions are welcome, and multiple portrayals of the same character are perfectly fine. Costumes are embraced no matter how they were sourced, whether handcrafted, commissioned, or purchased. Representations from comic continuities like 616 and Ultimate, screen adaptations and animated series, genderbent and crossplay interpretations, and steampunk takes are all in scope. Parody mashups that combine different licenses are not included, and original interpretations should still read clearly as the intended character. Direction is by Myron Abernathy, also known as Smoove Cosplaya, with photography led by Dr. LAW’s Photolab. Deadpool cosplayers are part of the welcome mix, though a small showing is requested so the gathering stays balanced. Those looking for a dedicated Deadpool event can find one through the community group focused on that character.

Beyond 30 brings a daytime clubbing experience to Boston that rewinds to the 90s and 00s. DJs spin favorite club anthems while live saxophone players and dancers amplify the energy, with vibrant light shows and retro visuals recreating the feel of classic dance floors. It is an adults-only, daytime vibe with good energy and no late-night finish, offering a nostalgic escape for anyone ready to relive the music and memories of that era.

A local photographer offers a mini portrait experience in Boston’s North End, capturing portraits amid historic buildings and old world charm in the city’s oldest neighborhood. The session lasts 15 minutes and includes one image to download. After the shoot, select your favorite during a short Zoom video call, and that photo will be edited and delivered as a download. If you would like more than the included image, options are available for additional digital files, boxed prints, wall art, albums, cards, and more. Longer sessions and choices that include additional locations are also available.
