The setting is social and supportive, with the chance to create alongside other crafters. Cocoa will be provided, and basic items such as scissors, pencils, and paper towels will be available. ADULT. and A Place To Bury Strangers share the stage at The Sinclair for an all-ages concert. Detroit-based ADULT., the duo of Nicola Kuperus and Adam Lee Miller, brings a catalog of seven albums released through labels including DAIS, Mute, Ghostly International, Thrill Jockey, Third Man Records, Clone Records, and their own Ersatz Audio. Their work includes remixes for LIARS, John Foxx, and Barry Adamson, appearances alongside Nitzer Ebb, L7, Severed Heads, and Gary Numan, and a contribution to Mute Records’ STUMM433 tribute to John Cage’s 4'33" with fellow artists like Depeche Mode, New Order, and Cabaret Voltaire. Their album PERCEPTION IS/AS/OF DECEPTION grew out of a self-imposed stretch of sensory deprivation in a blacked-out basement studio, questioning how we see and process the world and nodding to ideas from Merleau-Ponty, Goethe, Aldous Huxley, and Jean Cocteau.
