Using a clear framework, they trace a legend’s origins, examine any proof and how it was gathered, consider experiments they could try, and record observations in a field journal like real investigators. Every meeting ends with a decision based on the evidence... busted, plausible, or confirmed. It is more than a monster club, it is a friendly space to practice critical thinking and evidence based reasoning.

Cookie Club is an eight session after school baking program where kids explore the science, techniques, and pure fun of making cookies. In a fully equipped kitchen at the Florence Civic Center, participants work from scratch with teacher support, learning to measure accurately, mix and cream batters, fold doughs, and add finishing touches. Along the way, they discover why some cookies spread in the oven, how butter influences texture and flavor, and how a single ingredient swap can change the final result. Each meeting introduces a new cookie and a fresh skill to practice. The program is designed for ages 7 to 11, with opportunities for ages 12 and up to participate as CITs. The fee is $300 and includes taking home a share of each batch so families can enjoy the treats every week.
